Beneath the Red: A Pokemon fanfic

The wonderful world of pokemon is a dream to many. To battle using majestic and powerful beasts. To travel around many regions to see what they have to offer. To experience the otherworldly culture or even learn their history. There's so many reason this world is so beloved. This world captivated a boy, now a man, many years ago. Ruby Ethan Dane, Red for short, was hospitalised as long as he remember. Having an unknown sickness doctors didn't give him long to live but miraculously he lived over 20 years and in his boring time in bed he found some relaxation in pokemon franchise. He played all the games from gen 1-8 and even spin-offs weren't spared. When there wasn't much to do expect online battling he found a new goal in completing a living pokedex and he succeeded in that too by sending all pokemon to his pokemon bank. At least until gen 7. National dex cut hit Red's goal hard but it didn't make him resent the franchise he so loved. Unfortunately all things come to an end when Ruby finally passed away but right after he thought he died he woke up in an unknown location with a backpack laying nearby and a phone in his pocket. Inside the phone a pokemon bank app with some other applications were installed. Inside the pokemon bank was all his pokemon he gathered up to gen 7 games.
