Max Hodge used to be somebody. Specifically, he used to a somebody who did the dirty work for the roughest band of super villains in the world. Alas, nobody today remembers super villains and nobody remembers Max. The only thing he has going for him is his indestructable skin, a product of \'on the job\' hazards when you work with mad scientists, lunatics and criminals. Unfortunately, being indestructable doesn\'t mean being invincible.Now 65, Max is staring down the fact that he has nothing, nobody remembers him and those who do? They laugh at him.

Max\'s fortunes change when he is suddenly kidnapped by a super villainess called The Accountant. Max is conscripted alongside: Rico, an ex-super villain apprentice who has stolen some dangerous chemical weapons.
