Gu Lie conquered the land, established the Chu Dynasty, and ascended the throne. He ruled the world for fifty years. He was a wise and brilliant ruler for a lifetime, yet on his deathbed, the only thing on his mind was that stubborn and decisive General Di.When he opened his eyes again, he found himself facing the young Di Qiye, who had just joined the Chu army.Di Qiye turned and walked away. The Chu army generals were stunned. Why had their wise and mighty ruler suddenly turned into a rogue?Gu Lie looked down and saw that he was holding a peach, cut in half. This first meeting was recorded in history: "Di Qiye, clad in white iron armor, rescued the King of Chu in a moment of crisis. The King of Chu, overjoyed at the sight, shared a peach with him."A second chance at life? Fine. He would once again destroy the tyrannical Yan Kingdom, usher in a golden era, and uncover the truth behind his enigmatic General Di.This time, no matter how reckless and willful Di Qiye was, he would spoil him from beginning to end. He would never let Di Qiye die before his eyes again. What Gu Lie hadn’t expected was that, the more he spoiled him, the more his own heart wavered. They both carried wounds in their hearts, they both wanted to heal each other's pain. Yet, in the end, they found that they were each other's cure."General, you were always a beauty capable of toppling a kingdom. Back then, iron armor stirred the emperor’s heart."

I really don't know my stance on this novel. Is it worth reading? yes I guess.what is the problem? very messy story development, world building is also not very impressive. other than that is pretty good, character I good, side characters are also well developed. author has an amazing emotional writing.

It’s a lighthearted and highly enjoyable novel that keeps things fun and engaging throughout. The storytelling is smooth, making it an easy and entertaining read. The way amgice and races are implemented is nice, adding depth to the world while keeping things exciting. And, of course, having an overpowered main character makes it all the more thrilling, watching them grow and dominate challenges is always a treat!

This book seems very cliche at the beginning but I will beg you to keep going. It started changing from a generic novel around chapter 20 and from then on it was extremely unique. I would recommend this novel to anyone.I hope you enjoy it too!

As always a great novel by Wang Yu. If you liked Demon’s Diary or A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality, than you will also enjoy this novel. In comparison with other cultivation novels, this one greatest strength lies in ****** a believable world, that apart from the protagonist, has side characters that have goals, strength and weaknesses and in the end, influence the world around him. Cultivation doesn't require you to "grit your teeth and endure

I have to say, as a massive fan of the Zelda video games I absolutely loved this! Gave me serious Breath of the Wild vibes. Loved the idea of goblins and creatures suddenly appearing from all over the world, and temples which have to be cleared to level up and progress - straight out of an RPG game. The fight scenes as the protagonist battles his way through small hordes of goblins are all great, as diverse as can be in various sword tactics and very well-written. I liked how the protagonist has developed from a meek child and is transforming himself into the hero of the piece as he discovers he has a natural ability to defeat the goblins and is growing in strength the more enemies he defeats. Really great stuff so far. This story has a really pacy opening and has limitless potential  to go very far. Highly recommend giving this a go.
