Jing Li failed to succeed in the tribulation and transmigrated into a novel with a scumbag gong and cheap shou.

In the novel, the scumbag gong is a typical phoenix man who climbed onto the rich young master for his future, only to turn around and pursue his true love, the white moonlight. After seizing the young master’s family fortune, he dumped him and got together with the white moonlight.

And Jing Li happens to be the young master who got dumped, and he is immediately confronted with a scene of catching his lover in the act of cheating.

At that moment, the scumbag gong protects the white moonlight with one hand while sorrowfully shouting at him, “You don’t trust me? If that’s the case, we might as well break up!”

Jing Li watches the show and readily responds, “Good! As you wish.”

He then proceeds to retract all the resources he had given to the other party.

Not only that, but afterward, every time the scumbag gong comes to entangle him, he inexplicably starts having bad luck: either he chips a tooth or sprains his foot when going out, or even just drinking cold water would choke him into directly landing in the hospital…

The Koi Fish, a beautiful young shou, is pursued by a scheming black-bellied big shot in the entertainment circle. This story is both exciting and sweet.

One-sentence summary: Dare to deceive me and be ready to be bitten back

The book was an enjoyable read, with the main character (MC), the male lead (ML), and the MC's brother presenting likable characters. However, I cannot give it a full five-star rating due to the relatively lenient punishments inflicted on the camphor tree and weasel demons. This leniency made me feel that the author might have been rushing to wrap up the story, which detracted from the overall impact.

The description is misleading; this is actually a lighthearted novel centered around an主人公 who always comes out on top. The face-off scenes are brief, and the antagonists seem to have no lasting misfortune - the "scum gong" fades away quickly, with one scene left out as if forgotten. The ending is abrupt and lacks depth, feeling hastily wrapped up without any additional surprises. In essence, it's an entertaining, feel-good story, similar to many others in its genre.

The three-star rating I gave was solely based on the quality of the translations, which were commendable. Although a bit of proofreading would have been beneficial to remove the occasional repetition of paragraphs and a few minor grammar errors, the sentences flowed smoothly overall.

Now, let's address why I deducted stars despite the good translations. The issue lay with the story itself. The plot was generic, the conclusion rushed, and the writing style lacked maturity. The cultivation aspect often felt contrived and unsatisfying. If the narrative had focused on a simple slice of life, a Mary Sue tale, or light-hearted content, I might have enjoyed it more. However, the author attempted to blend multiple genres into one, resulting in a muddled mess.

The mystery elements were predictable and failed to create tension. It felt as though the author struggled with suspense, leaving the narrative feeling flat and unnecessary. There was a clear sense of ambition at the beginning, but it dwindled towards the end, resulting in an abrupt and unsatisfactory conclusion.

The pacing was abysmal, especially given the excessive padding in earlier chapters. The author tried to cram various elements – cultivation, conflict, entertainment, romance, and mystery – into a single narrative, but it backfired, turning it into a trainwreck instead of a masterpiece.

The story was cringeworthy, bordering on ridiculous. Despite my strong dislike, I awarded three stars due to the decent translations. The story did have aspects I enjoyed, such as transmigration, character development, and some lighthearted moments. However, after the introduction of the mysterious organization and a seemingly formidable antagonist who was quickly eliminated, the story devolved into a tedious exercise in suspension of disbelief.

If you're looking for a mindless read or have plenty of time to spare, you might enjoy it. But for those seeking a well-crafted plot, I'd advise steering clear to avoid potential frustration from the sheer absurdity of the novel.

"It's rather decent... a blend of the cultivation and entertainment worlds, but not particularly outstanding in either. The storyline is engaging with numerous intriguing elements. I fail to comprehend why some folks find the romance lacking or认为 it's rushed. The development between the characters is clear and their subsequent relationship is quite heartwarming. Reading it left me grinning uncontrollably."

The core narrative of this novel wraps up within about 20 to 25 chapters. The protagonist displays strong decisiveness when dealing with minor antagonists or supporting characters. The remainder of the story revolves around his effortless rise to fame, accompanied by a subplot focusing on cultivation. As for the romantic relationship between the main character and the male lead, it doesn't particularly captivate me; while they are individually compelling, as a couple they lack chemistry.

To be honest, I really enjoyed this story, and it surpassed my expectations based on the description. The characters, especially the koi, the main love interest (ml), the brother, and their friends, captured my heart. It's a bit of a cliché, but it has its endearing qualities. The ending felt a bit hurried, and I wished for more depth or additional content. Overall, it's still a solid recommendation. I might consider re-reading it once I've forgotten the details.

I'm not reading this bc anime had brain dead characters No calling them braindead would be a praise words cant describe it. If a retarded person saw anos in action they would realise how strong he is but characters in anime were like "oh he droped a f*ck*ng meteor on us, he is still weak tho"
