"Mara, come back! Somebody please stop her!" He shouted as he watched her run on the tarmacked surface of the road with her bare feet. The road was always busy but today there weren't as many cars. Jiren looked to the left side of the road, but he didn't see any car coming. He quickly ran up to cross to the other side but before he reached, he heard tyres screeching. At least that's all he could remember. Officer Palmer sat beside him, taking notes of his words, but he didn't say much. He also saw a girl, maybe a woman, sitting on a chair beside his bed. She was caressing his hair but he had no idea who she was. He was in a lot of pain, he passed out again.
