For Lionel, a 20-year-old high school graduate, the real world has never been as appealing as the virtual ones. Deranged, detached from reality, and burdened with bipolar disorder, he’s always found comfort in video games—a sanctuary where he could control his surroundings, find purpose, and escape from his father’s relentless pressure to attend college.

When a close friend introduces him to a new fantasy-themed VR Role-Playing Game, Lionel couldn't care less. History and fantasy never piqued his interest. But after relentless persuasion—and a recent incident that left him craving an escape—he decides to give it a try.

The first few logins? Predictable and boring, just as he expected. Until, on his second login, something strange happens—a glitch.

Suddenly, Lionel finds himself transformed into a vampire and tasked with drinking blood. But that shouldn’t be possible; players aren’t allowed to take on supernatural roles—or so his friend said. He brushes it off, assuming it’s just a weird in-game bug.
