It seems like there was an error in my previous rating, as I intended to give this review a 5-star rating! The book is an excellent read, with a simple yet engaging storyline centered around the protagonist's growth and childhood experiences. It's a light-hearted read, touching on important topics like mental health without shying away from them. The focus is more on familial love and relationships rather than the typical villainess plot.

The main character forms genuine connections with others, including her siblings, rather than creating enemies. She raises her siblings with compassion and kindness, rather than turning them against her. The male lead, a kind-hearted prince, is both her childhood friend and romantic interest. He treats her honestly despite knowing her true nature.

The novel showcases the protagonist's journey of survival, emphasizing her ability to show love and understanding rather than seeking revenge. Although her methods may appear manipulative at times, her intentions stem from a deep care for those who support her.

One of the highlights is the warm and heartfelt bond between the protagonist and her siblings, which takes center stage later in the story. The book stands out for its strong emphasis on familial ties throughout, offering a refreshing narrative compared to more common tropes.

In summary, this novel is a heartwarming tale of growth, compassion, and the power of family, with a charming and caring protagonist and a supportive love interest. I highly recommend it for those who enjoy stories that prioritize relationships over conflict.

I became emotionally attached to the story due to the protagonist's childhood, which is definitely my favorite part - filled with light-hearted moments and playful interactions. There were a few scenes of slapstick humor. However, as the characters grew older, the tone took a sad turn, which was somewhat unexpected but inevitable. Watching those once carefree children turn against each other tugged at my heartstrings. Thankfully, the ending brought some resolution and happiness, as the focus shifted back to the family bonds. Initially drawn for the romantic aspect, I stayed for the warm and fuzzy family dynamics.

The book is an enjoyable read overall, with a gentle narrative that emphasizes character development and political intrigue rather than fast-paced action. The characters are well-rounded, each with clear motivations and relatable conflicts, making their interactions believable and consistent with previous exchanges. While the romance could have been more intricately developed, it's not a major issue, and the historical setting feels authentic, showing the author's attention to detail in researching social norms through time.

The character of the main character's older brother, who has a mental disability, is handled with sensitivity and respect, avoiding stereotypes and maintaining a serious portrayal. However, the story could have benefitted from more tension and conflict, as after a point, the protagonist's trials lose their edge.

Despite this, the book serves as a delightful, lighthearted read, hinting at deeper themes within court politics without them being the central focus. The translation is commendable, as the translators provide helpful context through notes on cultural and historical references, ensuring a smooth reading experience with no awkward phrasing or errors.

This novel is brimming with lightweight, fluffy content, particularly towards the latter sections. As I progressed, I found myself smiling involuntarily, almost without effort, until the very end. Although it does incorporate some intrigue and sorrow, the author tactfully keeps death to a minimum, ensuring a sense of realism while maintaining a soothing and heartwarming tone. It's an ideal pick for readers seeking a break from the constant battles and intense plotlines found in other stories.

While the main character's smooth journey may initially seem off-putting, given her strong foundation from the beginning, it can be attributed to her past life's divine compensation, which she occasionally ponders. The novel balances well between romance and a lighter touch, making it a delightful escape when one needs a change of pace.

In general, the novel is quite engaging, featuring a温情的家庭 dynamic, which is surprisingly heartwarming given its regal setting. There's a touch of lightheartedness throughout, with the exception of Lin Ting's character arc involving depression. The conclusion was delightful, yet it lacked the element of surprise, as many plot points seemed foreseeable.

This is an exceptional novel, with a compelling plot and well-developed characters, interwoven with moments of comedy. There were several poignant scenes that evoked strong emotions, causing me to shed tears. One instance stood out when Lin Qing and Lin Lin Ting's camaraderie cooled after the Summer Hunt. Lin Feilu found herself caught in the middle, witnessing their conflict and bracing herself for the inevitable choice of supporting the defeated. My heart broke for Lin Ting, whose mental and emotional state crumbled. He lost his smile and brightness, forced to align himself with his mother's ambitions, shouldering the burden of countless lives sacrificed along the way. Even Emperor Father, aware of Lin Ting's reluctance, seemed to push the situation to escalate, which, in my view, surpassed Ruan-gufei's actions in cruelty. In the end, Lin Qing's reluctance to spare Lin Ting's life led to his exile, a pragmatic move to maintain stability and balance within the royal family. Had it not been for Lin Feilu's intervention before they left, Lin Ting might not have survived. That particular moment was the most heart-wrenching part of the story. On a lighter note, Lin Jingyuan's sarcastic remark about the difficulties of ascending the throne, followed by his punishment from Consort Xian, provided a humorous contrast amidst the drama.

This is one of my all-time favorite ancient and reincarnation novels. The bond between the main character (MC) and her siblings is incredibly heartwarming, and, of course, the interactions between the MC and the male lead (ML) are exceptionally well-crafted and charming.

I absolutely adore this novel! It revolves around Lin Feilu, a modern woman who, as a child,穿越到了古代。 Her character is endearing, and throughout the series, her exceptional abilities – acting skills, audacity, resourcefulness, and even cuteness – constantly impress me, making me feel fortunate to have her as the protagonist. The supporting characters are well-written too; although some play minor roles, they are engaging and contribute meaningfully to the storylines. Watching Lin Feilu interact with her family members brings a smile to my face.

One standout moment for me was Lin Ting's arc, where she visits the Thousand Blade Sect with Yan Xin, evoking a delightful reaction. The emotional depth, especially during Lin Ting's struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts, had me wiping away tears.

The story explores character growth in various aspects, showcasing both positive and negative transformations. The first half delves into imperial court intrigue, while the latter focuses more on politics and romance. The narrative style is clever, often leaving readers guessing whether Lin Feilu's actions are genuine or an act, which adds an element of surprise.

This is definitely a light read that doesn't require over-analyzing plot plausibility. In conclusion, I highly recommend it. For those translating from Chinese to English, I suggest reading the original alongside, as there are numerous untranslated terms, particularly regarding titles and cultural references. The translator has done a commendable job, but understanding the context of ancient terminology and culture enhances the reading experience significantly.

Absolutely worth translating! This story has deeply resonated with me in various ways. Perhaps it's due to my ongoing reading of "Qingye Supernatural Office," which has a heavier plot, but this book served as a refreshing escape, helping me feel lighter and return to more lighthearted content. It's delightful to watch the main character grow, even with a mature 20-something perspective, as she forms bonds with her siblings and witnesses her fan base expand chapter by chapter. Her chuunibyou (adolescent eccentricities) adds a humorous and endearing touch to her character.

The portrayal of relationships in this story feels authentic and grounded, not overly focused on romance, yet still delivering a sweet and healthy progression. The dynamics between the characters, especially those involving the harem, are well-balanced, avoiding unnecessary complexity that often frustrates in such stories. The author skillfully weaves the characters' backgrounds and motivations, without delving too deeply into villainous motives.

This book is a perfect conclusion for a bright and witty protagonist pretending to be evil, offering a satisfying journey filled with sweetness, laughter, and simple yet effective storytelling. There's no need to over-analyze the straightforward situations or character developments – it's all about enjoying the ride. In short, just dive in and read, as there's no reason to regret this choice.
