Villain Academy

Revenant, one of the most dangerous supervillains of the contemporary United States (if not the world) expected a lot of things to happen to him - or not - after finally dying at the end of his longest and most successful of plans.

What he certainly didn't expect was waking up centuries in the future, only to discover that neither he nor the world he lived in has ever existed, his life being the storyline of an ancient superhero comic book. Now brought to life by a passage of something not from this universe - and capable of warping reality in its wake - he has to find a way to escape from a dying world.

All while dealing with a diverse set of issues. Starting from his old love interest (whose death became his villain origin story) returning to life, his friendly local mission control being a genocidal AI with 'Slaughterer of Billions' among its titles and.... well, a vast array of space horrors crawling through the maze of the planet-sized tomb he is now trapped in.
