It’s worth it. But the translation gives you a headache when reading.
Also: the author is following old Japanese trends instead of Korean ones. This novel is for average LV1 readers.

I understand the author's point that same-gender love can only be resolved through opposite-gender attraction or by being with your partner. There are many people out there who disdain and feel repulsed by homosexuality, and I know exactly how they feel since I used to be one of them. But rest assured, I won't offend any lesbians or bisexuals here.

This series was published in the '90s, which is evident from its old-school art style. It’s my first time picking up such an aged manga, but despite its age, it was surprisingly enjoyable at first. This manga may be tagged as shoujo-ai, but it never delves into anything more serious than longing stares. The characters were likable initially, but as the chapters progressed, they slowly eroded the likability factor until it was almost nonexistent. Take Tomoka, for instance
: she's attracted to Serika, whether it's because of her appearance or actions. Clearly, we all know she likes Serika to the extent that she keeps making moves on her, even though she knows Serika's "real gender." This means she fully understands that she herself is a lesbian and has even acknowledged it. Despite this, she feels disgusted enough to wipe her hands after shaking hands with someone of the same gender. It infuriates me to the point where I want to yell at her, "Don't do that ridiculous thing! You and she are the same, so why do you feel disgusted by shaking hands with her?! If you hate lesbians so much, then you should hate yourself even more for being one!"
I was enjoying the series until I read a spoiler about
Tomoka ending up with Arata in the end if you read the RAWs
. That fact alone made me turn away from the show and rate it 4/10. Overall, if you're reading this for girl x girl content, I suggest you avoid this manga because it will just be a waste of time. However, if you don't care about girl x girl themes and can read Japanese well
WARNING: English translations are only available up to Chapter 12
, then I recommend giving it a try since it’s pretty cute for an old manga.
