Yesssss, at last that most desired novel is here........ I was really enchanted by the novel and was angry when it was stopped by previous translator. And now I got 20 chapters per week.... Happy now
So uh, hey. Author here. This novel isn't exactly the most popular, unfortunately, but what can you do.So to tell a more real take on the story, it is a little bit light on the actions scenes and the like (Though it is in there somewhat). Instead, most of the content is about people talking to each other and how their relationship gradually progresses.This story is actually somewhat of a remake of my very first novel, "This Clueless Hero". It was essentially about someone with depression, and their life as they wallow through it. However, this story is different in that the main character has already gotten over their depression. As you go through the story, you see how it still affects him even afterwards, and how he sees the world.Though it comes off as goofy, that's mostly just so that things don't get too heavy. The main character is, all things considered, pretty weak compared to the rest. Instead, he gets through things using his words, whether callously or amicably.This isn't a light read, by any means, since most of the story is about its development. But if that doesn't sound too bad to you, then maybe you would enjoy it....Also, this totally isn't a shameless five-star review, what?
I'm writing this second review after catching up to the latest chapter of 404. And my opinion on this series has improved! The slice of life elements are less overdone now and actually feel like they contribute to the character development rather than just being there for the sake of being cute or filler. I also appreciate that the main character and most of the side characters are pure good as a opposed to the chaotic good of most other Pancakeswitch protagonists. This also means that unlike most of them, the evolutions of the main characters of this novel are far more positive and good for the world and less demon lord/cosmic horror/eldritch abomination type evolutions and skills. There's nothing wrong oth that, we've just seen it done a lot in Pancakeswitch novels. It's a nice and welcome change of pace in my opinion. Also, despite the fact that this is one of those novels where the game eventually merges with reality, it doesn't go the typical route you've seen many times before. It's a gradual process and there's a lot of mystery as to why it is happening at all. Definitely check this one out!
