"Yeah...I don't have the means to study here...the fees are already too much for us to handle. I've been giving promissory notes and I don't think we could repay them...so I have to work..."
Friedrich continued to meander his way to his workshop, hands in his pockets and whistling a dwarvish hiking song, but he did so so off tune that the street suks whined and barked at him as he passed.
My mom tells me that she'll drive me to school because of the weather its not so safe to drive, and also school is on the way to her office today. So we get in the car and let the radio play whatever music is on, and me and my mom avoid conversation for the entire ride, when i get out of the car my mom kisses me goodbye and we go our separate ways.
The book has a really good start! The vibes of this book are quite similar to shadow slave, as the author seemed to take inspiration from it.The characters are extremely well-written and believable, though I wish the main character had a bit more screen time. He's constantly put into situations where he's far too weak to truly shine, but even then he somehow still manages to at least pull his own weight.
To be honest, this story has a big potential to become one of the biggest hit in novels with proper sequencing and having a proper storyline. Based on the first chapters, this story will likely be a unique one unlike others. The mc is also a bit unique with generic traits and over all, I think this would become one of the best webnovels in the future.
