First of all, please fix the lump of text meshed together in some chapters that make the story really hard to read. Other than this formatting issue, the translation is top quality. FYI, don't get scared away by the formatting mess in the first chapter. I actually almost dropped the novel because of that. Persist and you'll be rewarded. I have been looking for a horror novel with good story telling, like My House of Horrors and Dreadful Radio Game. (Plague Doctor is just too confusing for me.) Midnight Bookstore definitely fits the bills. It's made up of many exceptionally good ghost stories. Pros:- A smart MC- A funny side kick friend- An interesting walking female corpse- A creepy Envoy of Hell kid- No homophobic undertone- So many curve balls and plot twists that you don't see coming (it really makes you doubt every character that appears)- Many of the ghost tales are in the gray area (there's no black and white, it's hard to tell who's right or wrong)Cons:- Will this novel ever get picked up from the trial read?!- How long do I have to wait?!- And oh yeah, please fix the formatting issue. Other thoughts:- MC's store is not a Midnight bookstore, more like a late night bookstore since it doesn't only open at midnight (in fact, it even opens during daytime)- MC is always thinking about sleeping with his wife (but not in a perverted way-ish?). But thanks to his side kick friend though, now he has a psychological issue he got to overcome before he can do that 🤣🤣🤣- The bone-chilling terrifying element isn't that prominent here. But that is offset by good-story telling. So, not a con per se. Overall: Definitely worth my time.

So...I wrote this and I'm biased, so there.On the flip side, I wrote this story because when I grew up watching power rangers and stuff, I found the monsters and mechs way more interesting than the rangers themselves.As I got older, I noticed that there were few to no stories about the monsters being the stars, except for like this one mobile game, so I took it upon myself to write myself.A singular protagonist is boring to me, so expect an ensemble of weirdos.

Not sure what they use as a method of choosing these but I've read better SI fanfic's of Harry Potter on this site than 90% of the filth they keep adding on review. Candy crush has more complex gameplay and system than the game here. MC cheat is retarded. Item rarity and stats mean nothing just stuff randomly throw together with author pulling out numbers out of his áss that change between chapters. Combat is = random number, mob uses random skill that does something, mc uses random skill that does something, MC alive because avoiding damage not explained how, cheat activate random normal beginner mob drops 10 items that are perfect upgrade for MC including highest rank skills and weapons because it makes sense tutorial area gives endgame lvl stuff. Oh and almost forgot you buy in-game currency with real money so P2W is included just like all the other Chinese mobile games or clones of one game released in new skin again and again. There's no world building no character progress and overall it feels like a novel written by a 10 year for a school essay. Then again it has the MMORPG in the title so maybe they have like a template where you just write some random names and it generates yet another one of these novel copies with same plot as the rest of them. Now that I think of it its like a clone of China's game market same shít paddled with different name and microtransactions included...

Addicting book. I’ve read 500+ chapters as of reviewing and it keeps getting better. The plot, power progression, and the development of the characters make this a really satisfying read. You won’t regret picking up this book.
