<p>Okay, so I read Rustblaster because I saw it listed and liked the cover (I simply adore vampires). Let me tell you, I don't regret it at all. I was hooked from the very beginning. The only downside was how short it was. When I found out there were only six chapters, I didn't think I would enjoy it this much. A lot of mangas this short don't really let you connect with the characters, but this one is different. The plot was decent, but I wasn't a huge fan of the ending. I think they could have done better. I keep finding plot holes. Nevertheless, it was absolutely worth my time.<br />Hope they make more!</p>
This manga was absolutely amazing in my opinion. Seriously, I almost teared up at the end—lol. It was truly wonderful. However, I am curious about something: I'm not sure if Aldred, the main character, returned at the conclusion, which might be why Kei stood up, crying, and ran toward him. Overall, it was an incredible manga created by the same person who made the manga and anime Black Butler. While I'm not a fan of the inclusion of demons, the manga was still fantastic.

Honestly, I enjoy most vampire stories, but many of them tend to lean more towards undeserving fan service or completely disregard any original works about vampires. However, I am open to new ideas regarding strengths, weaknesses, and the development of powers.
When I first began reading, I was impressed and entertained by the artwork and the main male character's personality and style. The other characters appeared to be typical manga archetypes, nothing particularly special.
The story concept is rather weak, but what sets this apart from so many other vampire/magic manga is how the mangaka utilized the elements and narrated the story. She seemed to recognize the potential that the characters, combined with the story concept, offered her. By the end of this manga, I was captivated. I wish there was more.

The artwork is truly stunning, and the main characters are exceptionally well-crafted. I found the protagonists to be very likable, and the story concept quite intriguing. As a fan of vampire mangas, this one particularly caught my interest! Even though the pace was quite fast, I still found it enjoyable and will definitely continue to re-read it. If you appreciate the art style and darker vampire narratives, you'll definitely enjoy this manga!
Rust Blaster is a vampire tale, but it stands out as somewhat unique compared to others. The narrative kicks off with a cheerful school setting, yet events take an unexpected turn. This twist is what defines the manga. It's unfortunate that the manga spans only about 6 chapters. However, the mangaka does an excellent job of tying the story together. As you delve into the story, you'll find yourself laughing, getting angry, feeling excitement at times, and even becoming sad.
Story: The plot within the manga seemed only semi-developed to me. Numerous elements were introduced, yet not much transpired. In the initial part of the manga, it was clear that significant events were looming, but the main characters didn't take substantial action. Additionally, some characters were brought in during the early chapters, but their importance wasn't evident until the final few chapters, which I found somewhat frustrating. Rust Blaster is categorized as a Shounen-ai, but it barely fits the genre. There aren't explicit scenes unless one is into vampire eroticism.
I must say, though, that the ideas are incredibly creative. As expected from the creator of Kuroshitsuji. The main character was versatile and effectively moved the plot forward. However, in just six chapters, the story progressed too rapidly, and the ending was somewhat confusing. I believe this manga could have benefited from at least one more volume. The conclusion implied much, and I think it deserved further elaboration. But that originality... wow.
Art: As you might have guessed from my earlier comment, Rust Blaster is by the same artist who created Kuroshitsuji. Even if I hadn't mentioned it, you likely would have recognized the style. The similarities between the two mangas are clearly noticeable. The gothic character design and atmosphere are fantastic—something only Yana Toboso can craft. If nothing else, this manga is undeniably visually appealing.
Characters: The characters were distinct both in design and personality. I would have appreciated more background on all of them, as I believe it would have enhanced the manga's impact. Aside from that, I can't find much fault with the characters. They meshed well together and formed a solid ensemble.
Overall, Rust Blaster is a good, quick read. If you enjoyed Kuroshitsuji and wish to explore more of Toboso's work, then this is worth checking out. The messages between panels are highly poetic and make for a pleasant reading experience. I liked it and recommend it.
