When the immediate crisis eased, these ability books were made available to the public, offering a glimmer of hope and a way to fight back.

The original ability-users, known as the “Pioneers,” formed their own factions, working alongside—but often apart from—the united government, which had reformed as a global military. These newfound abilities transformed society, sparking extraordinary technological advances and reshaping the world.

Now, in 2225, 16-year-old Roland faces the start of his own journey. It’s his turn to attend the military academy, where every young person trains to defend humanity from the monsters.
