However, Rogue paid no attention to the baffled men as he entered the human city. Returning to his full height, a cold shiver coursed down his immense frame. The human city was ravished and rupturing with screams. Rogue looked on in both fear and awe. The human homes here were quite a bit taller than those he had seen around the perimeter of his forest. They were made of stone, wood, lacquer, and terracotta as opposed from just the wood from trees. They would have been intriguing to look at and examine closely if they weren't battered or sprayed with blood. Rogue's eyes traveled over the rooftops, his breath caching in his lungs as he saw dozens of mindless titans looking to feed and greedily engorge themselves on human flesh. Rogue whimpered pitifully again, his fear for his own humans growing ever greater. He had to find them! He had too!
I started reading this story originally on the subreddit r/hfy - at first it seemed like any of the other space human-are-space-orcs fantasy stories that are there. This is DEFINITELY not one of those. While it does include some subtle DnD references and has a bit of an anime feel to it, overall it's one of the best story series I've read on that sub reddit in a long time.Overall, there has been some incredible charecter developments, there are real genuine feeling reasons to hate the bad guys and then there are a smattering of moral conundrums that make the characters and reader question some of the tougher aspects of life, such as religion, propaganda and other things. While the overall reading level of the story is low (comfortable for teens/young adults) some of the content is probably not.All of those things said, the characters feel very "real" and are engaging. There is one new charecter that is particularly entertaining I have enjoyed reading about. Overall, if you're looking for something that takes a slightly different view of fantasy and doesn't take itself too seriously this would be good read. Enjoy, I know I have.
At the beginning, I felt sad for the Mc who seems to be young lady who is emotional drained and depressed . But as the story progresses, I understand that he was just like every typical MC who is still trying to figure out his life and those around him. But , the author did a great job in the story setting, and World building. ...
This book is........ just wow. There are times when Mwa (I'm an activator and I'd how to spell it lol) gets into a stressful situation, and the entire book just turns onto totally another playing field. I like the characters and their descriptions and I admire how detailed they are. I think I could drawing art of each person from the description. I really like it.
