Chi Ke passed away suddenly on the day he was promoted as a director, at the age of 26.

As an overworked employee tormented by his overbearing company following the ‘996’ pattern , his final thought before death was: In my next life, I must get full eight hours of sleep every night.

But then, he found himself transmigrated into a cliche melodramatic novel about a domineering CEO and his substitute lover, as the CEO’s special assistant who worked 24/7 non-stop.

Chi Ke had read this novel when he was 15, and their shared names made the experience uncomfortably real.

When the CEO called his assistant at 3 a.m. in the night, Chi Ke was so furious that his hands and feet went numb. When the CEO skipped important meetings to pursue his true love, Chi Ke’s anger flared to the point of developing mouth ulcers. And when the CEO demanded his special assistant to find a doctor who can perform a heart transplant surgery for no valid reason, Chi Ke spewed endless curses.

In short, this was a world where the rich had no brains, and only the working class suffered.

As soon as Chi Ke arrived, the CEO’s urgent call came in, like a death knell.

Chi Ke sat silently for a moment, then pulled out a copy of the Civil Code, stuffed it into his bag, and headed to the CEO’s massive 5,000-square-meter mansion.

No matter if you are a Mr. Leng, Mr. Li, Mr. Sima or any other domineering CEO just be honest and follow the damn law before pretending to be the leader of the business world.

“What? You can’t come? Your great-uncle’s aunt’s nephew’s cousin’s grandmother passed away? Seven of your relatives died in a week?!”

Hearing the CEO’s thunderous rage on the phone, Chi Ke silently adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses.

See? This is why overworked employees eventually snap—private doctors are no exception.

The private doctor, Ji Qian, the outstanding second son of the Ji family, had dreamed of becoming a doctor since childhood. Rumor has it that he is as gentle as jade, just like his name, perfectly matching Chi Ke’s stereotype of an affectionate and devoted second male lead.

However…

At 3 o’clock in the night, outside the CEO’s grand mansion, Chi Ke was stunned to find the same private doctor dressed in beach shorts, flip-flops, and a tank top.

Looking at him, Chi Ke tentatively extended his hand, “Hello?”

The doctor, looking utterly exhausted, weakly shook it and replied, “Sorry, I’m a bit unwell.”

Wanting to offer polite comfort, Chi Ke said, “Think about the overtime pay?”

Straightening up, the doctor donned his white coat and said, “Thank you, I’ll try my best.”

Indeed, only the souls of normal people can resonate with one another.

The Earth could rotate without anyone, but the Domineering CEO novels couldn’t exist without special assistants and private doctors.

Narcissistic, bitter yet lovable, flamboyant Doctor Top x Cynical, Face-Blind, Sharp-Tongued Special Assistant Bottom

1v1, HE, sweet romance, dual transmigration, with both protagonists being unlucky individuals who died unexpectedly in their past lives.

This is a fun and interesting novel. Worth the read if you like over power characters from the get go. 🥳MC is not extremely ruthless when it comes to his enemies, he could forgive others  but he doesn't do anything half-assed and goes all the way but he's not afraid to let others know how strong he is and makes them regret being born; he has the right  to be  arrogant. I find these traits to be very rare for an OP MC especially when reading other power fantasy stories so this was a nice surprise.       The plots and twists are well thought out. You will find a lot of interesting and diverse characters that add more life to this story.I love it,  the plot is perfect it suits my taste.

I just wanted to rate the story, but webnovel would have me write a review, that too with a minimum word limit! No wonder people don't like to read here!Onto the story, it is very good, and I enjoy it a lot. It is based on the idea that the MC goes against chosen children of heaven and emerges victorious. He encounters and defeats all common main character tropes, including a regressor, a reincarnator, one who had his engagement annulled, one who has been trained by retired hidden masters and so on. It is not too heavy on the planning side, but it is still better than 99% of the novels on this site which are downright trash.Special shout-out to the translators who translating this. I really appreciate your work, the timely updates and the fact that you've kept it free of charge. Kudos!

The story seems to borrow a lot from D&D and other sources, which can be a slight distraction, if you are familiar with those or looking to dig deeper into possible story paths. But if this doesn't bother you, this is a solid story, with a seemingly stable (read: not a total idiot who falls for or charms every female he comes across) MC. The concept of the necromancer, whose first priority is planting and protecting trees is great. World building is a little confusing and there are a few errors of syntax or names here and there. Easy to fix. Looking forward to seeing how the story progresses.  Overall recommendation.

Now here he was as a baby with what he once most longed for, a loving mother and father he could feel their love for him he may have been a grown man in his past life but he never experienced something like this where in his past life it was common to stomp on the weak.

"From your 'enthusiastic' response I can tell you have no idea the benefits you were just given.  Let's go through a virtual training session, and I'll try and help you understand.  I apologize in advance if this is a bit rough, but well most of those of your race learn this in their infancy, so you are a bit behind." The cheeky AI responded to Kip's less than thrilled response.
