Wen Xin and her best friend had a falling out, turning from close companions to bitter enemies. In an act of revenge, her former best friend wrote her into a cliché-filled period novel as a tragic side character.

In the novel, the character bearing Wen Xin’s name was a pitiful cannon-fodder supporting role. Not only had her parents caused the downfall of the male lead’s family, but after they were reinstated to their former positions, they feared retaliation and forcibly sent their daughter to serve as the male lead’s unpaid nanny.

Watching the female supporting character—modeled after herself—get tormented physically and emotionally by the cold and ascetic male lead, only to develop a twisted, masochistic love for him, Wen Xin scoffed in disdain.

Hmph!

No matter how handsome he is, there’s no way I’d develop Stockholm Syndrome for him!

But the moment she finished speaking, she found herself sucked into the novel—luggage and all.

Faced with this overdramatic plot, Wen Xin had two choices:

-Flaunt her even more delicate and beautiful looks—surpassing even the original female supporting role—and walk away;

-Make the cold male lead cry, then have him wrapped around her finger.

But later…

“Come here.”

His voice was hoarse, his gaze dark. His half-unbuttoned shirt revealed a glimpse of his sculpted chest as he rose from the sofa, pressing her against the wall in a desperate kiss.

Wen Xin: “…”

Wait a minute! Didn’t the novel say the male lead loathed the female supporting character? He wouldn’t even let her touch the hem of his clothes!

Then who is this man who can’t seem to keep his hands—or lips—off her?!

Someone smirked. “Tell me, who’s really the one being ‘arranged’ here, hmm?”

Reading Guide:

-The protagonist transmigrates into the novel and has a system.

-Completely fictional setting—don’t overanalyze! Everything follows the rules of the novel’s world.

-The male lead is impossibly handsome, with broad shoulders and long legs, exuding an aura of restraint (and suffering).

-The female lead is outwardly soft but inwardly cunning. No self-pity here—she won’t marry him unless she makes him suffer first.

Everything about this story is good even excellent imo besides two things:Grammar mistakes, like misusing he/she/her/his/prince/princes/princes/princesses/should/could/would. Pacing is slow at certain parts of the story but in general it's fine.Besides that the plot, the character design, the characters' interactions, the drama and the ability to make the reader emotional towards the MC are top-notch.This novel has amazing potential, a hidden gem only if you can ignore those two cons I urge you to read the story otherwise you are going to be frustrated.  To the author please fix those mistakes because this story is a gem but unfortunately, most readers won't bear with the grammar mistakes and will drop the novel before realizing the plot is extremely good. Good luck and I hope you the best!

To be honest. The story is pretty good and well written. But the side storys, in which side characters are introduced are way to long. Tbh it feels like there are less chapters about the mc then there are about side characters. And even if the focus shifts back to the mc its not rly relevant or a major part of the story. Last time he just ate/consumed some rocks and talked with a weird lazy silver guy.And the impact these side characters at the end have arent nearly worth the chapters it took to introduce them and flesh out there personality. (at least the last time)The last "antagonist" (the dude with the weird item) just randomly got eaten by the mc after his plotarmor broke. It just feels stretched and unaccessary.Anyway i hope this isnt the case with this New bad guy and i hope that there will be more focus on the actual mc of the story.Currently at chapter 49Hope you have a great day.Bye
