The Bone and the Beast

Totally awesome. Love it.

The grammar and atrocious mistakes are holding this novel back. Its weird changing the present tense to past tense in the same sentence.The economics are also full of **** for the seventies and that shows zero research from the author. All it would take would be a simple google search to find the information.

Score:7.5/10I wont lie, I used to love this book. But now I just feel sad by seeing the way it ended. Everything before the first flag war was almost perfect. The story had a very good beginning, with a nice hook. Even though the mc had an op ability, it was still balanced by the restrictions early on. The story was well written with the kingdom building aspect serving as a good slice of life setting. The small academy arc was intresting, as it served as a reminder to show the mc was not the strongest. It also allowed mc to make new allies and understand the structure and politics associated to high society. There were always mysteries left for future like the ruins.But then everything changed when the story when Micheal won the Flag tournament. The story just got overblown and the story accelerated too fast. All of a sudden mc became too strong, the kingdom building became less relevant, most of the side characters became too weak to be relavent to the plot. Even promised rivalries and villains got forgotten. Example: Quinn and the Zeus kid. At some point the story just became a civilization destroyer fantasy. There was almost no challenge in the story. Even the new hot topic ‘Nest’ became a second thought to the pantheon of God’s. We never even got proper finale of the relationship between Michael and their parents. Even ability extraction became boring.I don’t know why the Author was in such a hurry to end book. Cause the ending we got was just so anti climactic. Additionally, one of the weakest aspects of this book were creating side characters with deep personalities and Romance.There were very few memorable characters in this story, Danny was by far the most developed and followed by Caleb Zenovia. Maybe Fredrick was ok but in general not enough time was spent on them. As for the romance, it was so bad that it would have been better if there was none. It felt so lazy that I felt the author just didn’t event want to bother with it. At the end I just felt bitter abt the story.Again it’s a good book hands down but I really felt the author didn’t didn’t do ‘Justice’ to the story. It could have been so much more.

The concept is great and I like the idea behind it, but punishment systems are the worst because it basically requires the mc to follow the systems orders instead of actually doing anything on his own. Im not even going to get into the demi-human stuff. I kept getting thrown off by thinking that there wasn't a cliche, but then somehow the author throws it in last second as a surprise that you didn't see coming. I just didn't like how the novel played out even though it had a great idea, and the system was very inconsistent with its own logic. "We don't grade talent, we grade personality

The pressure then dissapeared and was replaced by a calm aura that permeated the surrounding, the calm aura make all the plant and the seven of them to relax, the aura even make tang san blue river grass to dance in excitement as it somehow got summoned by itself. Moment later the aura vanished as they hear tao voice "mao mao you better be careful or you will kill ma hong jun, no matter what he was still my junior you remember"

"hehe.. you should watch your back bruhh" he proudly said that because he know this move will cause lot of damages. But, destroying his hope is the rabbit jump forward like it know Yoshino there. Before Yoshino can react, the rabbit move it body direction and make powerful jump toward Yoshino. Yoshino don't manage to evade it, and take hit from the rabbit horn.
