This is my first ever review. I apologize for any grammar or spelling mistakes.

RedEyes revolves around the protagonist, Captain Grahad Mills, a commander of the special forces unit "Jackal." He is betrayed by his own men and seeks vengeance after years of imprisonment. Captain Grahad Mills is feared and known as "Genocide" because he is essentially a killing machine. Rumors suggest he took down an entire squadron by himself.

I would recommend this manga to fans of action.

To me, this manga has a similar vibe to Berserk because it explores a coming-of-age theme. I believe it is a coming-of-age story because it shows how Guts (from Berserk) transformed from a slave into a renowned swordsman. In RedEyes, however, the protagonist was originally a farmer (if I recall correctly), and during a time of war, he is recruited by the Captain and gradually progresses to becoming a soldier.

Essentially, this is a modern version of Berserk, featuring rifles, rockets, missiles, and military suits.

Red Eyes is one of my most favorite mangas. The most impressive aspect of it is the extensive work put into creating and describing the world, its political and historical background. It is also very realistic in its depiction of the military, including its command structure and equipment. Only the SAA are new, but they are still being developed (in real life).
The weakest part of the manga is its characters and storyline. They are quite good, but most of the characters we focus on are 'elite of the elite supermen'. Up until volume 9, we had individual characters who were strong yet believable. After that, the author keeps introducing more characters, and in comparison to Graham Mills, they fall short. Seriously - the number of 'one-man-army' individuals is becoming overwhelming and slightly affects the storytelling in my opinion.
Overall - a great manga, and I'm waiting patiently for new chapters. If you're a military fan, you must read it or at least take a look. You won't regret it.
