The Accidental Bloodmage

Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that I would in one moment try and outrun wanna-be assassins, then the next moment find myself in an alternate world of magic as a bloodmage. He has to navigate the complex political landscape of this new world while growing in skill and ability. He learns that magic is not as easy as the movies make it. But how is that a challenge for a game developer?
