It took her almost three and a half hours to get back with the phone, by which point in time, Lelouch was lightly dozing on top of the covers on his bed. He startled awake when she knocked on his door and stumbled sleepily over to answer it. He was surprised when he saw her dressed in casual clothes instead of her usual uniform. Apparently she'd taken her mission very seriously and had thought more about how she was going to explain her little midnight excursion more than he had.

"I'm not sure," J.D. said. "There was a lot of other rambling going on there. Could you repeat it?"

Henna had just turned eleven and they couldn't even afford to get her a decent meal, let alone celebrate. By day they were too busy scavenging for any small particle that you might be able to consider as food, and by night they were too scared to even sleep for a little, all while hiding in the dark with little to no light.

When she went to look over Ryo it was even worse than she had imagined. She removed the chains and eased him down onto the floor. He was unconscious and his pulse was very weak. He had multiple stab wounds which had become infected, broken ribs, broken bone on each arm, burns on at least 20% of his body and what looked like obvious electrical burns, and his shoulder was dislocated. As she held him and inspected each of his injuries and tried to decide the best course of action she heard a small weak voice talking to him.

"That's good, then, for you" I said and felt like floating. Who am I kidding here? Haven't I been enraged a while back? Why am I calm talking to you now?

"What?!"

"Sir, Where should we go first? Office or old mansion?" the chauffeur asked.

So much to do, so much to see

I just read chapter 1 and I'm already looking forward to the sequel, this author is ingenious, I recommend this novel.
