Stronghold In The Apocalypse

Got to the last updated chapter just to give it a chance, I really liked the plot but it was poorly executed.

Author does not explain the overall limitation on the MC and randomly throws them in out of the blue with no warning.

Main character has no understanding of people, he randomly blunders through things trying to act cool but never considers the consequences. How he can gain respect for the way he executes his plans and wastes resources on things not needed for many chapters is poor planning.

His overall powers are poorly explained and with 78 chapters you would expect to see him in the mid 30s level wise, he is still in the teens and that disappoint me.

His stats also seems not to reflect what was written down in early chapters unless I have the timeline mixed up in my head. 50 days would equal 150 stat points from his passive ability, this seems really slow progress time scale but fast unending action when looked at what has been accomplished in short span of time. No time to consolidate all his gains and it just seems poorly planned out.

Worth reading for people who can live with the plot holes, unrealistic MC and weird relationships.

Hello Fellow Daoist!

If you're new, I'm sure you're here in the Review Section to see if the story is actually worth reading, right? Honestly though, the early chapters are really crappy especially Chapters between 1 and 20 or maybe even more.

Why? Well, I created this just for fun so I never really had a plot prepared when I started writing this so I just wrote what ever ideas that pops out in my mind. What I didn't expect is that I would actually get a contract for it because you know~..the story was just out of a hobby, right?

So to those new readers out there, if you could at least get past maybe around chapter 30 or 40? I could at least tell you that the story slowly gets better and better. After all, I'm just a noob writer with almost no experience in writing novels.

And if you read past those chapters that I mentioned above but you think that story is still the same like it didn't even have a change? Then maybe it isn't your cup of tea after all, sorry.

NOTE: For the last time! It was clearly mentioned that weapons bought from the [System] or weapons created after the purging are the only usable weapons and weapons after WWII is a no no.

NOTE TWO: You would only comment about modern weapons being a plot hole if you just skimmed or didn't even read the early chapters at all.

Important Note: I will delete reviews that just rants about the story flow in the early chapters because it didn't go what they wanted it.

Please leave reviews with constructed criticism that points out mistakes in the story where it needs improvement.

Keep in mind that the story was only written as hobby before it was contracted, so I just wrote whatever comes to my mind.

P.S the Stronghold needed to be built in a place indicated by the [System] on his map, it can't be just built anywhere the MC wanted. God, I'm tired of explaining ****! Just read the fucking whole chapters from 1 to 10, all of it was explained there! So stop being a brat and write your own if the story doesn't go the way you wanted it!

I don't know if its just me but I kinda skim through the chapters rather quickly? but everything else so far in the novel has been truly amazing and its like one of my most favourite novels so far as its everything I love turned into one thing (Apocalypse, FPS, Base Building,Zombies and Leveling/stats.) also the character has some good stuff and is about to get even better things, but it still doesn't feel like its an OP thing that makes him invincible, along with the fact he seems like an actual thinking person, not a whiney teenage otaku or nationalistic grandpa. Combined with what in the future is going to be guns plus martial arts is awesome and I cant wait for it to happen.

If you create a MC that will make full use of a system, and show us his status, you better keep the scores consistent. And since you don't care to correct yourself, either for your MC status or your many grammar / orthography mistakes, then I will go back to other titles.
Those are sometimes a bit more negatively minded, but at least they don't drive me nuts with major inconsistencies.

I feel like the author could have done a lot better job since the basic plot is very interesting and you can see the author improving with more chapters but after like around chapter 20 or so you just feel like the MC is kinda idiotic, the plot is interesting but I just feel like the author didn't do it justice.

Chronic deletion of reviews, pretentious author, horrendous writing.

This author is a disgrace to this site.

Can this even be considered a novel? It was so terribly written it felt like I was in a kindergarten classroom helping students edit their ‘essays’.

All I can say is, there is no surprise that the author deletes reviews. How else would this novel have anything above a 3.0 without deleting them?

This is definitely going in my roast reading list. Too bad you can’t delete that too, author.

Hey, it's a good story. And it's going pretty well. I just hope that you will continue with the updates. And that's all.

And I want to say I enjoyed this first 16 chapters. Just I think the main character can be kinda pretty idiotic sometimes but I guess it's the part of the character.
