Review (minor spoiler)This is a book that is different from the vast majority of novels found on this site. For one it isn't fast paced and can even be seen as a little slow. I found the pace good but for impatient readers that like action every chapter this is not the novel. A key thing is that the MC is actually likable unlike most. It's a cold MC so some may not like it, but the MC has actual feelings towards people he should have so it's nice. The MC is also perceptive and for a character on this site he is considered big brain. The story has some logic for a cultivation novel and there are some burns that would require some primordial ice to be applied. I would recommend reading to chapter 60 at minimum and not give up to soon as he the first 60 don't have combat or cultivation really. It's around there that the hype hits like a truck. I recommend that you give it a read.BIG SPOILER (for those that don't really care)The story also does a good job with it's reincarnation. MC loses his memory but the story doesn't reveal it for a bit and actually hid it pretty well. Also don't worry MC gets memory back after a bit and actually doesn't do the weird thing of treating new parents as actual parents despite losing his memory.
The novel's storyline in itself is quite solid and seems like a good one but the writing style is painfully slow and in 40 chapters it has not progressed a bit. The story delves into different tangents every few chapters and the tangent is dragged out for 2-3 chapters. The story has potential which is buried due to bad writing. Good read for those that want to delve into very small details of the whole story world in a novel.
Biased review. Currently i like these types of novels so I'll support it. it's nothing great and nothing bad, it just suited my taste. The mc isn't particularly stupid but he's not a genius either however not so much in a way that's it's noticeable, he's just an ordinary person with a cheat I guess.
So far this is a great start! I feel like the story has a lot of potential especially since it has a game with cultivation mixed with leveling which isn't very common. I'm interested to see how the skills from the game will bleed into the real world and who's behind the game and why. I also like that the story doesn't focus a ton on her stats because I feel like a lot of stories with systems tend to take up like half the chapter with just showing stats. Another thing I like is how the mc doesn't seem really stupid. She hides her identity in the real world and doesn't flaunt her OPness (lol is that a word). Like some mcs in other novels make me want to strangle them and wonder how they're not dead yet (oh right plot armor), thank god this isn't one of them :) I hope we'll get to see more of the cultivation aspect and who her wifey is. Keep up the great work author!
I give 1 star to stability of update because it's been 2 weeks and yet it is stuck to chapter 21. It is a great story though. I loved it so I want more
