It is in a bustling New York that Conor lives and Conor has a dream - to reach the level of his star, the legendary warrior mage Zion. Alas, fate is against him for he suffers from a singular lack of magical prowess, so he must give up on his great dream as well as any other that had some appeal to him.

But it doesn't stop there, he also has to endure such hardships as failed exams, mockery and scorn from everyone, expulsion from his prestigious magic school, and the harshest of all - an attack on his mother.
