I was a bit disappointed by this one. The components for a good story were there, but the power dynamics system really let me down. It's stated that 80% of Ability Users awaken strength, 15% awaken speed, and 5% awaken some other random ability ranging from maths genius to ice control. Our main character awakens speed, which is basically a hard check to non-defense types since nobody can keep up with them without special tactics. In theory, 80% of ability users are worthless, which is already kind of lame. Speed users are also unkillable unless trapped or chased down by another Speed-type. Basically, the distribution is all messed up. 15% of users are OP and 5% are moderately OP with everyone else being worthless in theory. I think more variety would have been more enjoyable. That's not the only issue. The other issue is that the author doesn't even adhere to the power system they introduced at the beginning of the story. For some reason when the main character is fighting non-speed types, they are able to keep up with his movements. Now keep in mind, our main character is moving faster than the speed of sound at the point I've reached. It is also explicitly stated that you need special equipment to resist the force generated by sonic booms when moving at these speeds, yet not only are these random non-speed type people moving their bodies at speeds that can threaten the main character in fights, they are doing it without the equipment! If they can really move at that speed, then they would basically have speed-type abilities by default just by cultivating, and you would see every ability user flashing around at the speed of sound, and strength type users would not technically be hard countered by speed users when they are higher ranks. This basically invalidates having strength or speed type abilities so it is also lame. At the end of the day, it's just a big plot hole. Now I suppose it would be fine if I were given some sort of explanation, but I never was, and I was becoming growingly frustrated with the flimsy rules and design of this power system. The other elements of the story were alright, but I was mainly invested in the power system and ultimately had to drop because of the inconsistencies.

Okay, my review could be called unfair as I only read 4 chapters. But it just doesn't make sense. He picks a sword and jump to the skeletons in his first time in a VRG, he also explains he wasn't afraid of them because he has Battle Mode, like if his real life also had skills and fight in the streets to learn his skills(nothing of that was explained, nor how the Battle mode). Also, the no fear made no sense. Then in the same 1.- day and just after like 2 hours he already has perfect swordmanship(he is the successor of the style) to do perfect moves, fight a captain skeleton and do 999,999 dmg in one atk.I just don't get it, nor the life and past of our MC or the fact that he do like 2 months of game play in a normal rpg in less than 3 hours and learning to use a sword perfectly without any experience.I really have no idea how people give perfect scores and reviews here where perfection doesn't even exist.

i would say it is a hodgepodge novel. author wanted to copy TLM, but instead of building original universe he "borrowed" lots of story from other famous games/novels/movies. so you have TLM mechanism inserted into some kind of fallout world with starcraft cheat. you will see lots of references from popular culture (e.g. john wick and continental hotel).for first 40 chapters i would maybe give it 3.5 stars, but lack of originality puts it to 3 stars.

Ren hung up. He was still staring at the mirror. Clutching both of the sides of the sink tightly, his knuckles turned white. He was overwhelmed with countless emotions.
