I was contemplating on whether I should write a review for this novel or not, but in the end I decided to do it, so here goes nothing.
First things first, this book was absolute garbage up until the 300th chapter or so and I will tell you why. The progression in cultivation levels that the mc went through was absolutely meaningless since he never fought against anyone, for one simple reason: Ling Xi (the higher realm person who gives him his powers at the start).
*There's an enemy approaching that could possibly make the story interesting by introducing real stakes or anything to change up the monotony of the chapters*
MC: ling Xi, suppress this guy for me while I talk to him as if I was the one who had defeated him.
Ling Xi: Okay.
This was legit how the first 300 chapters went with almost no change to the flow of the story the book was taking, what with the s*x scenes and the pure stupidity of the MC and how he deals with different situations.
The way the author portrays the marriages that connect the bigshots of each clan together is honestly some of the most novel and intriguing portrayals I've read in a while. The plot also starts thickening (past the 300s anyway) and the world building becomes more fleshed out. Basically what I'm trying to say is that the only reason this book is getting trash reviews is because of the first 300 chapters or so. In fact, if you were to take the latter 600 chapters (as of writing this review, there's 937 chapters) as a stand-alone LN, then you will get yourself an average cultivation book with interesting prospects that could easily bag a rating of 4/5.
But alas, due to it having had an absolutely horrendous start, plus the fact that the grammar is sort of subpar especially with the author often mixing up his pronouns, this book will have to settle for a rating of 3.5/5 or 7/10 at most.
I advise you to not read this sh*t if you like cultivation novels
PS - MC is a male prostitute, so if you guys don't like MC sleeping with married women (Some people consider it as sharing partners, NTR, blah blah), then you guys don't need to read this novel.
Before the story started, Ling Yun had ten customers, but I didn't write about their relationship with their husbands in detail except for one woman.
However, there was no intimate action between them, for her husband was a cripple.
Five of his customers were already divorced when they met Ling Yun again, and they had no relationship with other men.
Three of his customers are also still married, but there is no intimate scene between them.
As for the last customer, I won't say anything now. Up to the latest chapter, Ling Yun hasn't met her again, but I already have a plan for her.
