The primary issue I have with this novel is that the author fails to utilize the system effectively. In numerous instances where the protagonist could have leveraged the system's benefits, the author sideline it, resulting in storylines that lack depth and relevance. For instance, during the early business arc, the MC could have gained skills in business, accounting, leadership, public speaking, and negotiation through point redemption, but these opportunities were unexplored.

    Several other aspects stand out:

    (1) The author's portrayal of societal norms feels outdated, even by the standards of younger generations in China. Furthermore, he incorporates debunked concepts across various disciplines, including social, psychological, biological, medical, and historical knowledge.

    (2) Character development is weak. Characters often act hostile towards one another without clear motivation, serving as a crutch for action sequences. The author frequently undermines seemingly good characters by revealing negative traits or backstory, suggesting a bias against genuine goodness.

    (3) The narrative borrows heavily from mid-1980s to early-1990s Hong Kong action and comedy films, which can offer insights into the story's origins and the author's influences. However, this reliance on clichés might limit the narrative's originality.

    (4) The story lacks a moral compass or consistency. Characters behave unpredictably and without consequence, with other characters accepting their actions mindlessly. The author attempts to justify these actions through forced explanations, which fall flat.

    (5) Starting around Chapter 300, the novel becomes riddled with racism and jingoism.rape and even justifies the romantic relationship between a rape victim and her attacker, occurring around Chapter 580, which is highly problematic.

In summary, the novel misses opportunities to engage with its system, presents outdated views, has shallow character development, borrows from dated genres, lacks moral grounding, and contains disturbing themes.

The narrative isn't exceptional, but it's a decent tale that stands out among many popular adult novels, at least from my perspective. The protagonist has a remarkable personality, which is quite rare, and the pacing strikes a good balance between being neither too fast nor too slow, maintaining a pleasant reading experience. However, the translation quality deteriorated significantly after chapter 60, turning into almost robotic, which was highly disappointing. Despite my reluctance, I had no choice but to discontinue reading the novel.

The title of this novel is misleading; it should have been titled "Unparalleled Murderer System." It revolves around an emotionless engineer whose life takes a dark turn when his boss's son夺走了他的女朋友。 Initially, he was a passive character, tolerating injustices like relationship theft and mistreatment from friends and family. However, with the acquisition of the system, he becomes a ruthless killer, targeting anyone who steps beyond his limits – including those he disagrees with, such as family, ex-friends, co-workers, law enforcement, criminals, government officials, military personnel, and even individuals from countries outside China.

By the time you reach Chapter 531, where I'm currently at, the protagonist has claimed the lives or injured more than a thousand people. For context, notorious serial killer Jack the Ripper only claimed five victims. Consider that for a moment...

The system empowers the main character to excel in various skills like hacking, dancing, music, calligraphy, driving, sports, and martial arts. He gains an infinite pool of points through witty social media replies and eliminating those who bother him, even slightly.

However, the book's main flaw lies in its blurred lines between friends and foes, and potential lovers versus acceptable targets for violence. Characters labeled as friends offer tangible benefits without expecting anything in return. Love interests are portrayed as chaste, pining for the murderer without demanding affection or intimacy. Anyone who fails to meet these criteria becomes a target for his wrath.

In summary, this novel falls flat due to its portrayal of violence and questionable character dynamics.

This is a decent 3-star story without any standout unique elements that aren't common in other narratives. The negative aspects, such as overused clichés from Chinese literature, also detract. The pacing is uneven; it starts off拖沓, then devolves into repetitive battle scenes towards the end, abruptly concluding. The tone shifts abruptly, giving the impression that multiple interconnected novels have been mashed together. Despite being labeled a "System" novel, the author seems to downplay its presence, allowing it to fade into the background over time.

While there are occasional satisfying character comeuppance moments, they feel somewhat contrived given the protagonist's poor decisions, reducing their impact. Overall, it's an average 3 out of 5 – not exceptional, but passable. It falls somewhere in the middle of the spectrum, lacking any real excitement or depth.

I'll rate it 2 stars simply because the novel doesn't have an excessive number of "troublesome young masters" and the main character isn't portrayed as a womanizer. However, after several hundred chapters, the author starts to push their "patriotism." I can tolerate a touch of national pride, but when an entire chapter turns into heavy-handed propaganda, it loses all value for me.

This aligns well with the summary and is quite intriguing. I'd genuinely like to rate it 5 stars, but there's room for improvement in the translation. While it's generally comprehensible, some parts feel like machine-translated text, particularly when it comes to character names – they're not presented in pinyin. Additionally, certain words, especially profanity, are translated literally instead of using their more common Western equivalents. Without a basic grasp of Chinese and familiarity with colloquial expressions, I'd find it quite confusing.

As others have pointed out, the translator frequently inserts personal remarks, which can be distracting but isn't unbearable, as it's a common practice in some Japanese novels. I can usually read selectively around those comments. The grammar and tense usage could use some work – there are instances where present tense is mistakenly used where past tense is needed.

In conclusion, the content is promising, but it desperately needs a thorough editing pass to enhance clarity and cohesion.

This is indeed quite disappointing. The story relies heavily on an unconventional point system and has a poorly developed plot that feels overly clichéd. The main character doesn't come across as likable either. In the early chapters, we witness a familiar trope where the protagonist's girlfriend leaves him for a richer suitor. The protagonist then uses his unfair advantage to confront and intimidate the ex-boyfriend, who starts feeling remorseful about his past actions (ugh). The wealthy guy is portrayed as a typical heartbreaker. It seems to embody many aspects I find unappealing in generic male-dominated novels without any redeeming qualities.

"When you blend together all the negative elements typically found in Chinese web novels, you get a formula characterized by a power system, numerous arrogant young masters, one-dimensional supporting characters meant to emphasize the主角's awesomeness, and themes like racism and nationalism. These stories could be enjoyable if set in a different world, as they wouldn't have the potential to instill such real-world biases."

I came across the source material for this a while ago, and it's one of my top picks within its genre. Although there were some sections that dragged and clichéd moments, overall, it provided an enjoyable reading experience. The ending, unfortunately, left me slightly disappointed, but I powered through to the end without skipping a single chapter – it was one of the few novels I completed from start to finish.

This is a fairly typical god-like system novel, incorporating many common tropes. The narrative unfolds in distinct arcs, maintaining a grounded and engaging tone until the climax. Each arc escalates the conflict, starting from street gangs and eventually reaching elite military forces and beyond. Nationalism and racial themes are often employed in such novels, and this one is no exception. The romance, however, receives mixed feedback due to its somewhat awkward development; the protagonist's relationships with two initially love interests suffer tragic fates, particularly with Chu Yue, a dynamic character.

The novel attempts to address challenging topics like sexual abuse and power dynamics, which is commendable. It may be argued that the main character keeps his emotions and thoughts guarded to prevent further pain, but this approach can be seen as excessive at times.

Unfortunately, the novel feels rushed towards the end, with an underwhelming conclusion. The final arc lacks sufficient foreshadowing for the events that transpired throughout the earlier 600+ chapters. To heighten tension, foreign worlds and unexpected plot twists are introduced, such as the main heroine becoming a kingdom ruler with amnesia, Xiao Luo discovering new abilities, and an alien invasion. In a sudden turn, Earth is attacked, necessitating a rescue mission, and the alien leader, who covets Su Li, becomes a villain. Despite these dramatic developments, Xiao Luo triumphs and hastily marries several characters without explicitly expressing his love for them in the previous 800+ chapters.

The novel starts off strong, particularly when focusing on the protagonist's romantic adventures and dual life, which create touching emotional scenes. For instance, a standout moment occurs when the main characters share a heartfelt conversation during a chaotic war setting.

However, the book loses some appeal due to the主角's character traits. He tends to delay confronting villains until they reveal their nonsense, which can be frustrating. Additionally, his stubborn and headstrong approach to relationships might not resonate with all readers.

In terms of content, the portrayal of racism and nationalism can be problematic, especially when certain countries are depicted as targeting and mistreating the Chinese characters. These exaggerated stereotypes may not accurately represent the diversity of people worldwide. It's important to remember that fiction should not be directly compared to reality, and readers can form their own opinions on the matter.

Overall, if you enjoy the genre, there are both enjoyable and less appealing aspects to the story. If you're considering reading, it's advisable to stop once the plot shifts towards a full fantasy realm, as the narrative does not significantly improve beyond that point.

Alright, I really enjoyed the concept, especially after reading "Superstar" and "Valiant Life," as I appreciate the modern-day novels with cheat abilities or systems. However, the quality took a nosedive around chapter 400. Although the nationalism was present, it became increasingly exaggerated and turned into a sad joke. The author had American Navy SEALs making comments like, "What a fantastic nation with thousands of years of history and incredible martial arts," which was hard to swallow, especially when they criticized Americans for something irrelevant (like the Iraq War). It was cringe-worthy, to say the least.

I stopped reading at chapter 586 due to a spoiler: the main character (MC) had numerous strong female partners, including a seemingly perfect match, Ji Siying, who had even introduced herself as his girlfriend to his family. Yet, the author forced the MC into marriage with a cold, tsundere character who constantly acted like that. This hypocrisy – wanting someone but rejecting them due to pride – was unbearable for me. In chapter 584, the MC finally spoke up, expressing frustration about the constant treatment, even threatening to kill her if she didn't change her behavior. After a dramatic scene, they had sex in a conference room, and there was a shift in her character, becoming more mature and loving. She confessed her love to her best friend, who she had previously talked negatively about the MC to.

But then, just that same night, when the MC visited her house, she reverted back to her previous behavior. Her response was dismissive, "I've always been like this. If you don't like it, you can leave." That was it for me. Despite the earlier action-packed chapters and the initial appeal, the author ruined the romantic and harem aspects of the story. The MC's relationships with almost every other woman, excluding a few exceptions like Chai Zhiying (Su Li's agent), Mina (the SEAL), and Zheng Mi (the cheater), felt manipulated and unsatisfactory.
