Years after a tragic accident that claimed the life of both her parents, Samantha David-West May is now a force to be reckoned with in the business world. However, her supposed stability is tested when Stephen Lard attempts to murder her, setting off a chain of events that might just pull Sam back to the past she desperately wants to avoid. And she isn't the only one with an unpleasant past.

Alongside her adopted cousin, April and her ex-boyfriend, Cole and her aunt June, they delve into a cat and mouse game, determined to catch the elusive criminal mastermind known as Stephen. But as the past beckons, it's slow but steady pace the team would have to confront, the question rises. Who is the predator, and who is the prey? Are they towing the path of justice, or being lured deeper into a treacherous game that might just end life as they know it.

P.S: I wrote the first couple chapters of this story a while ago before picking it up recently with a revamp. Unfortunately, this means that the first couple of chapters are not as polished(⁠;⁠ŏ⁠﹏⁠ŏ⁠). Please bear with me while I fix this but I promise, after you get past that, it is a great read.
