Gold Tier Winner of WPC #139 *** Two souls were prophesied to meet and fall in love. They were made for each other, chosen by the moon goddess to complete each other. But what would happen when something threatens to break them apart? Do you think a love predestined by a deity will prevail? *** Lara looked up and she froze when her eyes came in contact with the bluest eyes she had ever seen. "You are...?" He asked. Lara caught her breath and froze up. She can't answer him! She already knew the CEO was ridiculously handsome. But she didn't think he was this handsome! He already asked her a question but all she could think of was... Noah James Smith looked intimidatingly beautiful in his company photo but in person, he's more than that. His photo didn't do him any justice! He was devilishly handsome, and very intense too. His electric blue eyes looked like they could see into her soul if he wanted to. And she was melting like ice-cream in front of him. Noah looked at the woman who just entered his office and his eye zeroed in on her. She looks like a dear in headlights. Her lips were gaping and she looked stunned after seeing his face. Did she hear what I said? He thought inwardly as he stood up and walked around his desk. "Who are you?" he asked again, and that got Lara out of her trance. "Oh! Uhm. I-uhh. I-I'm nobody..." She replied after struggling for words. Then she remembered what she came there to do and approached his desk. "Actually, I came here to deliver this…" Noah casually sat on his desk and crossed his arms over his chest, his eyes watching her as she squirmed under his gaze, holding the envelop close to her chest as she awkwardly approached him and his desk. "I'm... I'm going to put this here for you, sir..." she said and placed the brown envelope just beside where he sat and then backed away like she'd been burned by his presence. She couldn't even look him in the eye. Noah glanced at the envelope then backed at Lara who was now awkwardly playing with her fingers. "I'll be going now, sir. I'm sorry for disturbing you-" "You haven't answered my question yet." he stopped her and she froze again. "P-pardon?" "What's your name?" "I-uhh..." Lara started to panic. Is he going to fire me? Noah looked at her ID. "Looking at your ID from this distance, it seems that you're one of my employees." "Ah yes, I'm-" She bit her lip and deflated like a balloon. Will I get reprimanded if he discovers I'm just a newbie? "Why did you stop? Is it really hard for you to tell me your name?" Lara immediately shook her head. "N-no. No, sir. I just- uhh. I find you intimidating…" she unconsciously said and gasped. What did I just say? Noah didn't respond but the corner of his lips turned up for a second there before it vanished as soon as it appeared. "I see..." [Time Skip] Noah looked outside, staring aimlessly at the bright city lights outside his window while twirling his drink in his hands. His mind was deep in thought. And it was mostly about the fact that he had found his mate. He's been waiting for her to appear in his life ever since he reached adulthood. And now that she's here, he couldn't stop his urge to possess her. Claim her as his. When their eyes met for the first time, he immediately felt the pull between them. He wanted her the instant he laid his eyes on her and she was a new employee in his company. "Lara Louis…" Noah murmured her name and he couldn't help but think about her eyes. Her expressive auburn eyes that was hidden underneath her glasses. *** Discord: https://discord.gg/VmAWdAr Disclaimer on the cover photo! It is not mine, guys. What promise did Tain Hai Sheng Xue and Luo Lui make in the grand tournament’s dueling phase?

This is my first review, so apologies if it's not well-articulated.
I just re-read *St. Lunatic High School* about half an hour ago, and it inspired me to write a review. :)

    **STORY - 7**
The plot is quite basic. A normal (human) girl ends up attending a school filled with unique creatures and demons. The story doesn't evolve much beyond that premise but remains enjoyable nonetheless. One issue I have is that it leaves me somewhat confused due to a lack of detail. I'm unsure whether the story is genuinely this simple and I'm overexpecting, or if the limited scope of two volumes restricts how much can be revealed. Some plot twists caused by seemingly trivial reasons were disappointing (though I won't spoil them for readers). Despite its imperfections, the story still feels touching and sweet. :)
*Note:* This manga is *absolutely horror-free*, despite what the description may suggest. There's nothing scary about it—rather, you'll find it more charming and cute than frightening.

    **ART - 8**
The artwork is simple, clean, and adorable. It occasionally adds intricate details to backgrounds during significant scenes. None of the characters appear particularly "ugly," though they don't possess the excessive detailing seen in series like *Full Moon wo Sagashite*, where every character has elaborate hairstyles and striking features. Overall, I can't pinpoint any major flaws. However, I oddly mistook the gender of a few characters—there are three males whose appearances made me question whether they were male or female. I'm uncertain if this is just my perception or something inherent to the art style... o.O While it might not rank among the best globally, the visuals are satisfying overall.

    **CHARACTERS - 7**
Most of the characters are likable. They possess straightforward personalities, making their roles in the narrative easy to discern. You likely won't despise any of them outright, though you might dislike or grow annoyed with some. One aspect I appreciate is how memorable their names are (though there aren't many named characters to begin with). For instance, the two main protagonists, Niko and Ren, are instantly recognizable from their first appearance. The characters aren't especially original; haven't we all encountered archetypes like the cheerful, strong-willed girl paired with the aloof yet talented guy whose thoughts remain mysterious?

    **ENJOYMENT - 7.5 (rounded to 8)**
I found it entertaining to read. The romance element kept things engaging (after all, seeing a cute girl and a cool guy on the cover practically guarantees romance—how could they even include horror?). There's light comedy that may strike you as funny... or bizarre... or perhaps both. It's undoubtedly a fantasy, which adds to the fun of exploring its world. Action is minimal (or nonexistent, as there isn't much fighting), and adventure exists only insofar as Niko navigates her daily life at her new school. The atmosphere is pleasant, free of heavy drama, allowing for a carefree reading experience.

    **OVERALL - 8**
This is a solid and satisfying manga. While it may not become an all-time favorite, it's certainly memorable enough to revisit occasionally when bored. What I love most are the main characters, Niko and Ren. Curious about what happens in this manga? Looking for a quick, uncomplicated read? Give *St. Lunatic High School* a try! (I'd recommend it to almost anyone.)

Thank you for reading my first review, and I hope you've grasped the general idea I aimed to convey about this manga. ^______^

If you're looking to kill an hour, then this manga is for you. If you're pining for an elaborate plot, character development, and an emotional conclusion... Well, St. Lunatic High School falls a little short.

    Story - 6
It wasn't BAD... It had the potential to be an interesting and worthwhile series, under all the right circumstances, that is. (But I'll get to that later in the review.) The whole daytime/nighttime student concept was an intriguing idea, but Majiko! couldn't quite pull it off. However, if you're still intrigued by the thought of vampires and monsters taking classes after you go home, then I suggest you read Vampire Knight.
I'd also like to point out that the tags for this series are somewhat misleading. They describe it as "demons" and "horror," but the monster students are so cute you won't even bat an eyelash.

    Art - 7
To be honest, the art wasn't very fitting for the story... But maybe that's what the mangaka intended. It's like the characters were caught between looking serious and looking all cutesy. I gave it a 7 because at least the monsters and creatures of St. Lunatic High School are pretty adorable! (Especially the penguin guy and pumpkin head!)

    Character - 5
It was all too simple for me. The author tried to throw in some sort of character development, but you really can't develop anything in 2 volumes, let alone 10 chapters. The characters had their moments, but none were particularly memorable.

    Enjoyment - 7
As I mentioned earlier, it wasn't BAD. It was a pleasant little read, just a way to pass an hour. The issue is, it's incredibly simple. Nothing much to it. No emotional attachment. Just read it and think nothing of it.

    Overall - 6
