I have to give this novel a 4.8. It's too good. Better than My House of Horrors. I'd give it a solid 5 if only the word count was longer. Highly recommended. It's basically A Serenade for the Innocent in Chinese form with way more detail. Its incredibly impressive and went further and exceeded beyond the limits of my expectations. Very similar to Here Lies the Wicked with more of an Chinese feel. Normally, I wouldn't think that possible. I'd like to say good job for the author in making this miracuclous work and thank you to the translators and editors for putting time and effort into changing it into English with a spinechilling story and effects.
This novel is quite good, it develops slow at the start but it's still entertaining. I really like this type of cultivation worldbuilding because it looks more realistic. I hope you will post new chapters it would be so sad if it got dropped.
Alright, this is a tough one. I really, really like this novel. In fact I like it so much that I'm frustrated. The Chinese version is finished with over 2000 chapters, yet the translation is only at 360. That's why I'm frustrated. Because there's just too many schemes/plots/things that are bound to happen sooner or later and at the rate the translation is going, it's gonna take years for the novel to be completed.So I'm frustrated. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not mad at the translator, I'm just mad that I can't get more updates more quickly because this, ladies and gentlemen, is such a goddamn fine read.**: Ye Xiao is awesome. Quite different from the usual perverted Xianxia/Xuanhuan MC. This one is ruthless, wise and strong, but he's also quite dense and inexperienced in the ways of love... which makes him goddamn cute.
