The main character (MC) in this story is quite an overpowered (Gary Stu) character, displaying incredible talent even at a young age. I personally find stories that focus heavily on childhood and character development monotonous. It took over 60 chapters just for the MC to reach adulthood, and even then, the love interest (ML) got severely injured protecting them, resulting in being reborn as a baby in a small world, restarting the story. Skipping through numerous chapters, the climax reveals that MC, ML, and the MC's previous-life disciple are all reborn as children, leading to yet another growth arc. The development of the MC-ML relationship isn't substantial either, as the ML only makes a few appearances until around chapter 60, with their interactions mainly during ML's upbringing. If you're seeking a heartwarming BL romance, this story might not be the best choice.

I must confess that this novel has ranked among the finest I've ever encountered.尽管篇幅较长,但每章都令人深感愉悦。作者在构建世界观上耗费心思,角色塑造生动,他们之间的互动既有深度又不乏幽默。总的来说,我给它满分五分。

"[Status update on 12/27/20]: Haha, just created an account so decided to leave a review. I absolutely adore this web novel! It's the only one I actively check for updates and keep reading. Highly recommend! Although there hasn't been much interaction between the main character (MC) and the male lead (ML) yet, I have a hunch about who he might be. Frankly, I'm okay with the slow-burn romance, especially since the MC is currently in a child's body, around 10-12 years old. What I really enjoy is the xianxia aspect - that's the heart of the story. Initially, there was a massive cliffhanger, but the subsequent chapters didn't disappoint, though it wasn't as intense as I expected. The MC's calm demeanor keeps things interesting. I can relate to Ji-ji, the little blue chicken 'system.' I'm excited to see how the romance unfolds and thoroughly enjoy the read. [Update on 4/15/21]: Still a lot of fun! MC and ML have met, and it's exactly who I guessed. They're becoming friends and growing closer, which is adorable. Since the MC is still a preteen, I'm not expecting major romantic developments anytime soon, unless there's a time skip. But seeing their camaraderie is delightful, and I'm loving the blend of xianxia plot. It's great to find a novel that focuses on cultivation with a subtle BL subplot - it keeps things fresh and enjoyable <3"

The novel "My Legend Still Exists in the Cultivation World" bears similarities to classic xianxia fantasy, enhanced with a blend of male-on-male elements. It revolves around a reborn protagonist who progresses at an extraordinary pace, encounters various characters, factions, and timelines, and constantly defies those who underestimate him. The story is incredibly extensive, both in terms of its content and the reincarnation theme.

In terms of plot, the narrative lacks a clear central storyline, focusing instead on character-driven arcs. There's an eventual showdown with an anti-hero figure, but each segment ranges from city politics to academy challenges, time-travel adventures, infiltrating monster realms, and historical jumps. It takes time for the plot to pick up steam, and the reliance on reincarnation as a connection to the past can feel overwhelming at times.

The author appears to have drawn inspiration from countless xianxia concepts, leading to a diverse array of subplots. While well-integrated, the sheer quantity of side stories can be daunting, particularly for non-native readers like myself, as it often includes unnecessary detours and temporary plot points.

However, the novel shines in its main characters, Jing Yue and Qin Yanzhi. Jing Yue, a revered figure from the past, is intelligent and ruthless, driven by cultivation and loyalty to his sect. Qin Yanzhi, a talented swordsman, evolves from a stoic character into a lovable, ass-kicking figure, becoming my favorite among the love interests. Unfortunately, secondary characters lack depth and consistency, with most appearing briefly and few leaving a lasting impression.

Overall, the book offers enjoyable moments, especially the emotional connections between Jing Yue and Qin Yanzhi. However, the excessive padding makes it skimmable, suggesting the author prioritized word count over substance. If translated, I might appreciate the nuances more, but for now, I'd rate it a 3.5 out of 5. Qin Yanzhi remains a standout character.

In conclusion, "My Legend Still Exists in the Cultivation World" is a novel that leans heavily on its characters and their relationships, with a vast world filled with xianxia concepts. While the plot may not be the strongest aspect, the chemistry between Jing Yue and Qin Yanzhi makes it a worthwhile read for fans of the genre.

The story is quite enjoyable, particularly for those who appreciate non-romantic male-oriented fantasy novels with elements of cultivation (xianxia). It brings back memories of similar novels I've read before. However, the main characters, MC and ML, aren't particularly endearing; they lack depth in their personalities, especially after they become a couple. Jing Yue has some standout moments, but he tends to fall flat at times, leaving me uncertain. Ji-ji, on the other hand, is a standout character and definitely shines throughout. If you're a fan of Ji-ji, I'd advise skipping the additional chapters, as they mostly evoke feelings of sadness for him and don't contribute much to the plot.

Overall, it's an average read, but still worthwhile if you're looking for a cultivation-focused BL without expecting a deep plot development.

The start was engaging, but my interest waned by chapter 65 as new characters kept coming and going, leaving me struggling to keep track. The plot lacked excitement, with the comedy losing its freshness and the protagonist's success appearing almost effortless, with repetitive scenarios becoming tiresome.

"It's been ages since I stumbled upon a captivating xinxia (martial道修真) romance that had me completely absorbed, losing sleep and appetite just to devour the story's twists and turns. If you're searching for a richly detailed cultivation universe with a healthy dose of drama, thrilling adventures, and enigmas, this series is definitely worth your time."
