In her last life, Yu Lingxi fell from a myriad of stars that surrounded the moon into the dust, and was forced to sacrifice herself to the regent, Ning Yin. The regent was born handsome and beautiful, but unfortunately he has a crippled leg. He was a twisted and cruel madman who killed his brothers and father. What Yu Lingxi was most afraid of was that while wiping the fresh blood on his hands, he smiled and said to her: “Lingxi, come here.”

After only two years of marriage, Yu Lingxi passed away suddenly. After her death, Ning Yin did not set up a mourning hall, did not make funeral arrangements and buried her, and became even more insane, slaughtering the city with blood.

Then she was reborn at fifteen years old, when she was still a high-ranking noble daughter of the general’s mansion, and Ning Yin was not yet the regent who covered the sky with one hand. Unable to swallow this anger, Yu Lingxi took the guards to find Ning Yin, who was living on the street, and intended to beat him anonymously to avenge the resentment in her previous life.

Unexpectedly, when she rushed to the scene in anger, she saw the thin boy curled up and was being pressed to the ground, and his left leg was about to be broken. The muddy water was covered with blood and trickled down, soaking his dark and resentful eyes red…

Only then did she realize what a pitiful past Ning Yin had. Yu Lingxi made a mistake due to a strange combination of circumstances, and instead of going to beat someone, she went to save him. She had no choice but to take in the little poor boy and try her best to teach him to be an upright young man with a healthy body and mind. To her surprise, as she taught and taught, the little poor boy looked at her with more gloomy and strange eyes.

"It's fantastic. Trust me, if you're looking for an intriguing yandere male (ML) character and a charming, well-rounded female lead (FL), this novel ticks all the boxes. I would rate it five stars because it left a more profound impact on me compared to others. What sets this apart is that the FL isn't portrayed as a naive or无知 character; she's balanced, knowing her limits yet not overpowered due to her重生 background. The ML, on the other hand, is not a typical hypocrite; he genuinely embodies a 'villain' archetype."

Is it just me or is the fl incredibly shallow and mercenary? Any grevience she has or suffers its all good so long as he throws something expensive her way? Am I overreacting?

Because he can, you have this logic because of planet earth and mostly religion stuff.
But if you go into another universe, where god interact with the world and won't care about killing and stuff, the world would be totally different from ours. Especially if there is superpowers and magic involved.

Do you think earth would be a paradise if tomorrow, everyone wakes up with powers big enough to destroy cities?
I will tell you what happens, in a month there would be no planet earth anymore

The book is solid, with a satisfying conclusion that ties everything neatly. There's even an adapted manga version! The characters are diverse and engaging, though the Second Male Lead and Crown Prince are a bit frustrating due to their one-sidedness. The Second Male Lead, being FL's childhood friend from a prominent family, is portrayed as innocent but overly fixated on FL. His constant declarations of love despite FL's clear disinterest create unnecessary drama.

The main character, ML, is a typical intense yandere, leaning towards a 7 or 8 on the intensity scale. His actions and determination when it comes to FL are captivating, especially during specific events in their lives.

The plot involves a fair amount of political intrigue, which aligns with ML's revenge plan. While predictable at times, the story surprises when FL's past-life knowledge comes into play.

FL's lack of power despite her background is a minor issue, but her efforts to navigate her situation are commendable. The author could have delved deeper into FL's character by exploring other aspects, like her emotional connections to memories.

In terms of re-read value, the book is enjoyable with an engaging plot, unexpected twists, and great side stories. Some standout ones include FL and ML's son, her family dynamics, FL's friendships, and the crossover between their first and second lives, which provided a thrilling ride.

Overall, the book is a decent read, but not necessarily one you'd want to revisit. It offers a satisfying conclusion and entertaining secondary narratives that make it worth checking out.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the novel, although there are a few additional chapters yet to be published. The storyline is captivating and full of energy, and the love story between the protagonists is truly enchanting.

I absolutely adore every aspect of this narrative. The protagonist's feisty outburst to express her anger, followed by her tender-hearted transformation upon witnessing the male lead's vulnerable state, makes her an incredibly relatable and amusing character. It's touching to see the depth of the madman's love for her; his unwavering devotion tugs at my heartstrings at numerous points. He prioritizes her well-being above his own, creating a complex character that is both cruel yet tragically endearing.

If you share my enthusiasm for stories featuring sinister yet devoted男主角 and humorous, adorable female leads, then I highly recommend giving this a read!

I didn't anticipate enjoying this book so much. Initially, I read it years ago but abandoned it after a few chapters because I found it boring. However, I kept going back and forth, picking it up and putting it down until now. To my surprise, I've become deeply invested in the main character, despite it being a typical Yandere trope with a tragic backstory.

The storytelling may be slow, but I lose myself in the narrative, and the clichés don't bother me. There's a mix of satisfaction and longing, which adds depth to the experience. The scene where she sews his boots shows her sincerity, a habit from her past life, which she unknowingly uses to please the male lead even in this timeline. Habits can be hard to break, as we see.

For those curious about the resolution of the past life arc:

    **Spoilers ahead:**
In the penultimate chapter before the end, the truth about the past life is fully revealed. The main characters, despite the tragedy, do find happiness in their own separate storylines.

Here's a brief glimpse into their past life:
The male lead genuinely loved her, and the thought of burying her didn't cross his mind because he couldn't bear the thought of never seeing her again. Deep down, he accepts her death, but his love is complicated. The villain is...

    **Spoilers continue:**
A childhood friend turned older brother (I've forgotten his name) who has issues with his status and seeks validation through grand gestures, often making him seem arrogant.

Now, the first timeline's male lead eventually finds himself in the current timeline, while the first timeline's female lead is still alive. In the second timeline, she learns of their past, but chooses not to seek revenge. Everyone ends up happy, including me, making it a satisfying conclusion.

If you enjoy Yandere stories with shorter chapters, I would give this a solid 4.8 out of 5 stars.

I really enjoyed the character growth in both main leads (ML) and female lead (FL). It was fitting because the FL recalled her past and aimed to alter the course of events. What appealed to me was that the FL wasn't overpowered, which made the story more relatable. The secondary ML portrayed a tragic figure, but his loyalty was admirable. Despite his efforts, the FL never saw him as anything more than a friend, leaving him with a supporting role from the start. He played his part well as a genuine secondary ML.
