For generations, my family of carpenters has been in possession of one of the most mysterious books in Chinese history—Lu Ban’s Book.  Nowadays, carpentry is declining, but my family still carries on the profession. After graduating from the university, I decided to return home and take over the business after my father. Outsiders usually call us carpenters, but regular customers refer to us as “descendants of the evil subduing technique”. During the day, I do business with people, while at night, I work with the dead. Amongst thousands of Daoist schools, Lu Ban’s sect is the one to cause evil spirits to tremble in fear the most.

Let the ratings drop and get them off their high pedestal. Let's boycott those greedy pigs and let them know their place! We are not robots and not money making machines! We deserve to read for free via ads and if we feel like it we will use our stones to unlock chapters. This is going too far! 6 stones to unlock.heck!

yeah I could completely see where this novel will develop. From it's name I thought that it could have had a lot of potential but sometimes MC's background matters more than a interesting power. This man is probably around 30 with a daughter. This novel is more about a cute girl journeying with her father going around the cultivation world than a man getting a power in cruel cultivation world. Its end is clear I have no hope for this novel.I don't why this novel is on trial read I think the webnovel deteriorating.

Overall, the plot is solid, and I really love the uniqueness of this novel. What stands out the most is how the disciples, especially Xu Yan (the first disciple), get most of the screen time and handle all the classic “Er Gen MC” moments, while the actual MC stays in the background as a powerful and mysterious master. It’s a refreshing twist. As for the translation, it’s generally good, but the inconsistency in names can be frustrating. Sometimes, it feels like even the translator (or maybe the author) gets confused about who’s talking, leading to the wrong name being used. Thankfully, the context and the distinct personalities of the characters make it easy to figure out who’s actually speaking.Another issue is the inconsistency with names for techniques, locations, and realms. For example, the “Great Zhou” country is suddenly called “Da Zhou” in the next chapter. While it means the same thing, it was confusing at first. In later chapters, “Dao” is sometimes translated as “The Way,” which is technically accurate, but I’d prefer it to stay as “Dao” for consistency. There’s also some mix-up between terms like “Realm” and “Domain,” which isn’t a huge deal but still highlights the inconsistency. On top of that, weapons get mistranslated a lot. For instance, Xu Yan uses a sword and Meng Chong uses a knife, but Meng Chong’s knife often gets translated as “sword,” “blade,” or “saber.” I’m guessing this is because all those terms can fall under “sword” in some translations, but it’s still annoying. The cultivation realm of Master, Grandmaster and Great Grandmaster also soemtimes take time to figured out which is being referred to which. Because Grandmaster is higher than Master but Great Grandmaster is equal to Grandmaster in some case.Overall, it’s a great story with some minor translation hiccups.

i only write reviews when i am really happy or extremely frustrated and annoyed, unfortunately this time it is the second one.I was enjoying this novel,. there were many annoying points but it was okay, In my eyes it was an above average novel, but after the introduction of Qi Shan, it just became worse, it was annoying, i feel it was trying to be funny, but it was just making my mood worse, i think i understand little what the author wanted to do, but i think he had failed miserably which makes it more annoying, do i recommend it, if you can stand a character who is annoying to the core because of her past and will have redemption arc or something like that, then go ahead and if u can't then, don't read it,

It’s pretty but the main characters race is not explained in any way, he seems to just be a human and the ash part has nothing to do with his powers. Another huge problem is that he acts like the game characters are real, why would I care about some random npc.

the story itself is pretty good with nice world building, and the pacing is nice as well. But the grammar is not the best, and the MC is really weak willed and can get frustrating at times. However the supporting characters Partner, and Alo make up for it. So overall I would say it is a good filler book to read if you are bored.
