While this isn't terrible, it's fair to say it rates around 6.9 out of 10. If you're specifically seeking a harem novel, you might still enjoy it, but if not, I'd suggest exploring other options. The redeeming aspect of this book lies in the interactions between the main character (MC) and his wives, although, from my perspective, they could be more engaging. Everything else, from world-building to action sequences, is commendable. It's worth mentioning that the translation is well done, kudos to the translator.

I initially intended to read a Korean harem novel, but after only 18 chapters, I'm surprisingly hoping for the protagonist to either break up with or permanently distance himself from the existing supporting female characters. The novel isn't poor, nor are the characters poorly written – they have clear motivations and actions that feel genuine or relatable. However, it's quite the opposite of the typical heart-wrenching Chinese shoujo manga, where the male lead is sadistic and cruel while the female lead remains innocent. Even when one understands their reasoning, it doesn't justify hurting the main character. I underestimated the drama element, and now I'm eagerly anticipating an ending where the MC rejects these heroines and finds his own satisfying conclusion.

Although it begins at a leisurely pace, the narrative rhythm effectively builds anticipation. The plot unfolds in an astonishing manner, filled with intense emotional highs and lows. You'll encounter a spectrum of feelings while reading, from sorrow to warmth. The novel's realistic portrayal of certain aspects added depth, making it a delightful read. In conclusion, I consider it a true masterpiece and wholeheartedly endorse it.

These characters are truly exceptional. The term "misunderstanding" fits the story perfectly, as it subtly captures a situation where the intended meaning behind the label doesn't quite align with its literal interpretation. The focus of the narrative lies not in action or adventure, nor does the story revolve around intense battles.

Instead, it is a masterful exploration of dramatic irony, where trust and open communication could potentially resolve conflicts, yet the characters find themselves unable to have those crucial conversations at the right moments. There are numerous compelling internal reasons preventing them from voicing their thoughts and desires.

I particularly appreciate the harem theme, with the main character being hesitant but determined to navigate it. Their efforts to break free and pursue opportunities to dismantle the harem dynamics are commendable. As a fan of such narratives, I eagerly await the translation to catch up with the original raws.

This isn't an isekai tale or one filled with overpowered protagonists; instead, it's a heartwarming classic in the fantasy genre. The story revolves around Berg, a young boy from humble beginnings in the slums. His daily life is unremarkable until he encounters a wealthy, yet not aristocratic, girl who has become lost in his world. Their relationship blossoms into a deeply moving love story, despite their stark differences in upbringing.

As they grow together, it seems their paths will lead to a blissful future... but fate has other plans. Spoiler alert: Sien awakens as a Saintess of a Goddess and is called upon to fight against the Demon King, tearing them apart. Lost without a clear purpose, our protagonist struggles to find peace.

Although the initial hook of the story hasn't concluded, the narrative so far captivates with its exploration of the challenges that come with losing one's sense of direction in life. I eagerly anticipate the upcoming chapters, highly recommending this engaging read for those who appreciate authentic character development and emotional depth.

To be truthful, I had finished reading this story on an alternative platform, and I found it quite engaging. However, from Chapter 100 onwards, the narrative shifts its focus more towards war and its aftermath. Although there are chapters dedicated to character relationships, they seem less captivating compared to the first hundred chapters.

The author does an incredible job portraying the characters and their tangled relationships. Although I usually don't prefer harem stories, after reading some comments, I decided to give it a try. As I delve deeper into the raw scans, I have to admit that by mid-way, I find myself losing interest in the main female characters – not because they are poorly developed, but personally, they just don't resonate with me. There's a consistent longing for a romantic connection between Adam and Berg, as Adam seems to be the only one capable of truly making Berg happy, at least in that part of the story. Overall, though, it's an enjoyable read, and I would encourage others to give it a shot.

The protagonist is charming, and readers can't help but root for his happiness. Unfortunately, this story falls into the "regret" genre where the main character mistreats someone he cares about and later feels remorse. It's disheartening to witness their suffering due to the自私 actions of the female characters, despite their understandable circumstances and the theme of miscommunication. At this stage, any average village girl would seem like a better choice.

Nonetheless, the novel itself is an enjoyable read. By the way, the protagonist's loyal comrade is incredibly heartwarming.

It's a tale of miscommunication and heartache, filled with intense emotional turmoil and tender love scenes, set against a backdrop of occasional combat. Emphasis is on character development and introspection, with the writing so powerful that it can elicit tears during poignant flashback sequences. The narrative takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions, breaking you down, only to gradually heal and rebuild, leaving you grateful for the depth of the experience. The protagonist isn't a pushover; he's a resilient individual burdened by a deep sense of duty to forge ahead with his new life. The second female lead shines as the embodiment of goodness.

This seems to be the first harem novel I've encountered where the emotions of all characters are genuinely portrayed and developed. It stands out as a masterpiece in terms of character depth.

Reflecting on Alex Woods' review, upon rereading, I can see that the female protagonists might appear rather passive. Initially, I didn't perceive it, suggesting that it might not be a significant issue for the majority of readers.

The portrayal of emotions is quite vivid, but personally, I couldn't fully immerse myself in the story. The protagonists and their pasts are portrayed with depth, but their lack of agency leaves me unimpressed – they can't just declare, "I'll follow my heart, no matter what," and stand strong. Instead, they consistently dwell on sadness until the protagonist enters the scene to alleviate their troubles. The focus on emotional turmoil feels excessive.

One of the story genres I detest the most is the misunderstanding-driven romance, particularly because it often follows a predictable pattern:

    1. The protagonist (heroine) makes an action.
    2. The main character (MC) misinterprets this and takes offense without attempting to clarify.
    3. They resort to making the heroine feel guilty for their perceived error.
    4. The heroine eventually realizes her mistake and regrets it.
    5. The story concludes with a resolution.

This formula seems to be prevalent in the author's previous works like "Why Are You Becoming Villain Again" and "Pretending To Have a Girlfriend," where misunderstandings drive conflicts that could have been resolved through open communication. I find the MC's camaraderie with his fellow mercenaries, specifically their friendship, more engaging and interesting to read about.
