I dreamed that they were together again, the echo of words mixed the confused and in the middle of the scene, a mutant rose separated entangling her its winding, thorny branches that broke his love displayed as a paradise of more roses that were transforming into hideous monsters.
Looking out of my bedside window, I take in the glistening snow softly falling and slowly piling onto the blanket of pristine white covering the town. Memories of my past life are brought into the forefront of my mind. Scenes of the times, I played with my older brother in the snow, making snow tunnels, igloos, snow forts and the preceding snow fights, flash by. A tear drips from my left eye as my thoughts move to wondering how he and the rest of my family are doing.
Pretty good read so far. I was hooked from the very first chapter. The characters surely bring this story to life in a very relatable comedic way. Can’t wait to read more.
The story is pretty good. The writing quality is good. I just don’t think it’s my cup of tea. The synopsis makes the MC seem OP(but he’s not). It also has one of the most annoying tropes, that being the missing family member trope. So while the synopsis may make it seem like he’s an assassin that is protected during the day and does the protecting at night it’s really a story about a boy who is to weak to find his sister and is dancing in the palm of a few powerful organizations. It doesn’t make the story bad it just adds a layer of anxiety to it that wasn’t expected from the synopsis and I tend to shy away from books like that because the looming threat is constant and makes it hard to enjoy the moments in which there isn’t a perceivable threat.
