Pretty good, with a strong main character, an engaging plot, and a mysterious backstory. The supporting characters are all interesting, and none of them are annoying.

Romance: None, but two female characters have a crush on the main character. Hopefully, this doesn’t turn into a harem situation.

I dropped it because I got bored.

You should try reading this if you have the time. The story isn’t too heavy, but it’s not as light as many Japanese web novels where the plot feels rushed or overly simplified.

The tags don’t lie; if something feels off after you read, it’s probably intentional.

The character development is quite interesting.

    **Spoiler:**
    - There’s no harem tag, but many of the main character’s pawns are female.
    - Even after 200 chapters, no one knows the main character’s real identity.
    - The character development for the pawns is really good. Is it because there’s no harem tag? Lol.
    - It’s not guaranteed whether it will turn into a harem after chapter 200 or something else, but it’s still really worth reading.

Take it with a grain of salt.

I rarely write reviews, but I genuinely want to give this spectacular novel the attention it deserves.

The story's power system, plots, and mysteries remind me a lot of *Lord of the Mysteries*. The characters and cast are diverse, although I'll be honest—they can be annoying at times, like the mind-reader girl.

What I enjoy the most are the mysteries. It's refreshing to see a main character who doesn't let the plot constantly misrepresent him. Instead, he actively creates misunderstandings for his own benefit.

, it's a pretty good novel with a solid plot. I would actually rate this higher than most mainstream novels. It feels like an unrefined gem in a trashcan full of bad novels.

    Edit:

I don't know what Fluffums is talking about; most of the time, the events are clearly explained.

    **Spoiler**

Mu Ling gets her identity exposed because the blur filter isn't some overpowered blur that exists in reality. It only works on digital cameras and similar devices, not obscuring her physical appearance. She had multiple encounters with the "police" of this world, and her skills were known to them beforehand, as she came from a well-known superpowered family that once saved the world.

Regarding the "functional insanity," it wasn't just thrown in randomly. There was clear buildup, including the MC's friend reminiscing about the past, the MC discovering his "actual" nature as someone with psychopathic tendencies, and how he didn't see people as human after investigating his past and his awakening. Even the meeting with his "other self" showed how he was reverting to his true nature.

I could elaborate on how he viewed others as "lower" than him due to his belief in reincarnation, but that's a whole different point.

The outer god argument makes sense, but you should consider it from the MC's perspective. It's not that the outer god intervened because he noticed; rather, the MC's presence subtly altered the timeline, changing the course of major events.

Additionally, the MC didn't heavily rely on past playthroughs. He mentions early on that in-game events were often randomly generated, so he only used his past experiences when recognizing specific quests.

    What loopholes?

The Library of Ruina part was indeed overpowered, but the MC's friend didn't use it because he didn't know about it.

Bruh, what "insta-kill" weapon? My memory is bad, so I might be wrong here.

    Certainly! Here’s the rewritten content:

    ---

An intriguing novel, no doubt about it. The plot is uniquely crafted, allowing us to uncover mysteries alongside the protagonist as he discovers them himself, though we occasionally receive an additional clue or two.

Bai Yan starts as a transmigrator from Earth into a parallel modern world where the supernatural exists. Initially, he is relatively stable and somewhat nihilistic, but as the story progresses, he undergoes a significant mental transformation. His desire to see those he deems evil suffer intensifies over time, and his scope of violent thoughts expands.

At the beginning, the only indication of this change is the man at the DHA, Lin Bian, who disapproves of Bai Yan because he "smells of madness." Later, Bai Yan himself realizes that his thoughts are becoming more abnormal.

By the chapter I last read, there’s a suggestion that Bai Yan may have traveled back in time after failing to achieve something, though he doesn’t recall it.

So far, the gradual psychological changes in the "operators" are well-paced and add a dynamic element to the story, making it engaging as he tries to keep them pleased and maintain their positive moods.

It's a good story, although it has some shortcomings. The narrative revolves around Bai Yan, who finds himself in an alternate world with a game on his phone centered around collecting various entities—beings, skins, buildings, and more. Essentially, the game involves gathering characters, granting them powers, building and enhancing a base, with the ultimate aim of addressing and resolving crises across different worlds.

The plot takes an intriguing turn when the game becomes a reflection of reality, blurring the lines between the virtual and the actual. The story is filled with mysteries, such as why the game is real, what its purpose is, whether Bai Yan is being manipulated, and the reasons behind combating evil. These questions form the crux of the narrative and remain unanswered for a significant portion of the story, maintaining suspense and intrigue.

The story draws heavy inspiration from "Lord of the Mysteries" (LOTM), incorporating elements from sandbox novels and the concept of controlling destinies through a mobile device. Despite these influences, the story manages to carve out its own identity and flavor. If you enjoyed the conceptual depth and diverse elements of LOTM, you might find this story appealing.

The world-building is engaging, and the power systems and core concepts are well-developed. However, the exploration of these aspects is not as thorough as one might hope. Initially, the story delves deeply into the details, but as the scope expands to a larger world, the author seems to lose focus. Characters outside the main city are often neglected, and their development is minimal, leading to a sense of disconnection and repetition.

The narrative structure can become monotonous, following a predictable pattern: MC receives a mission, plays the game, devises a strategy, executes the mission, achieves success, and rewards the involved characters. While the settings and challenges vary, the formulaic approach can diminish the reader's engagement and investment in the story.

Moreover, the predictability of certain plot points, especially for readers familiar with LOTM, can detract from the mystery and excitement. If you are a fan of LOTM and its elements, you might still enjoy this story, but do not expect the same level of immersion, quality, or awe.

This novel deserves way more hype. The translations are spot-on, and the updates come in faster than a high-speed train. Honestly, it's up there as one of the best in Chinese literature right now.

Now, let's dive into the review. Don't be fooled; this isn't just another 'misunderstanding' tale, even if it looks that way at the start. There's a ton of world-building, plot twists, and characters that could easily stretch to 500 chapters. But nope, the author wraps it up at 265 chapters.

The story unfolds when Bai Yan, playing "Babel Tower," realizes it's not just a game—it's messing with the real world. The game's events sync up with reality with a time delay. The catch? Bai Yan can 'restart' in the game, using information from past runs to his advantage. When he "saves" the game, events play out in the real world a few hours later. It's all about preventing world-ending disasters, from stopping cultists summoning gods to nipping epidemics in the bud.

The world of "Noah" is diverse, featuring three countries: The Air Alliance, Night Union, and Euro League. Each has its own vibe, from contemporary fantasy to post-apocalyptic sci-fi and fantasy. Bai Yan collects "Operators" through gacha-style summons, gaining fragments or snagging them instantly. There are relics, tactical cards, skins with power changes, and even buildable facilities worldwide. Other worlds exist, but they don't seem super relevant.

Avoiding spoilers, let's talk about Bai Yan, the main character (MC). At first, he seems like your typical transmigrator with powers, but as the story unfolds, he's revealed as a manipulative mastermind. He's defeated a great devil, made dark sacrifices, and has a twisted past, but he later gets a memory alteration and forgets it (though he gets it back later on). Despite being kind of psychopathic, he sticks to moral values and won't go on a random killing spree. He's got this dual personality thing going on, balancing ruthlessness with some ordinary dude vibes.

, I'd rate it 9.2/10. My only gripe? The chapter count is low, and the author could've expanded it like "Lord of the Mangrove" with daily lives of other operators, different POVs, or side plots. Still, it's a fantastic novel and definitely worth checking out. Highly recommended.

Edit: Why are there 600 chapters now? My review sounds kinda stupid XD.
