Synopsis Aurora only finds out a day before her wedding that she was not even a member of the Carlos family. The family she has known all her life. But that didn't seem surprising, as she was always treated like she wasn't part of the family and yes, indeed, she wasn't. It would have been kind on the part of Carlos's family to let her in on their little secret from the beginning, but no. They only wanted to keep her in the family and continue squandering her late parent's fortune. killing her guardians when she was just two years and taking over to be Aurora's new guardians was a game changer for the Carlos family who now runs the fortune of The Benson's Empire. Now Aurora is Twenty Years and set to get married to Larry. Larry is a big shot, he's every woman's dream man, and Aurora's sisters Ava and Mia think Larry was a dumbass for choosing to marry Aurora who doesn't fit to even clean their shoes.  Yes, she doesn't, and that is because she does all the housework and got nothing for it.  While her two sisters go shopping for expensive dresses, she's either scrubbing floors or cooking for the whole family. What Aurora didn't understand is why she always accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Carlos to the bank at least three times a week and they made her sign some documents without explanation. That is the only time they carry her in their expensive car. "Is fine, you can wait in the car," she was often told after signing the papers. Now she's standing on the edge of a bridge contemplating suicide.  her heart was about to explode with grief, she can't believe Larry was having sex with her sister a day before their wedding. "I have to end it here. " The tears roll down her face as she stares at the calm water below her. "Hey! You can't die in my space!" She heard a voice behind her.  “Aw, you can go to that end and die there, that place you are standing is my space, I’m the one to die there,” Could it be that this voice is the voice of her Savior? Then why is it sounding like someone who wants to commit suicide the very day she wants to end it all? Have you ever pondered what it would feel like to be the luckiest individual globally? For Kurusu Yuusei, the protagonist of Luck Stealer, this could effortlessly become his reality. So, where does all his fortune disappear to?

    Story 9/10

Luck Stealer's narrative follows Yuusei as he navigates life as a professional assassin, codenamed "Luck Stealer" due to his unique ability to physically steal others' luck for his own use. I perceived the story as one centered around penance, repentance, salvation, and redemption, powerfully conveying the notion that "sometimes good people commit terrible acts to safeguard those they cherish."

Initially, Luck Stealer may appear to have a gradual start, yet it evolves into an intensely emotional, captivating experience worth every moment. The opening chapters are largely episodic, serving primarily to introduce the main characters and their current situations. Around chapter 4, we encounter story arcs spanning multiple chapters. These early arcs introduce new characters and expand on the established foundation, enriching the narrative effectively. Chapter 10 marks the commencement of the overarching plot that will dominate the story moving forward. Although I had hoped for this development earlier, its introduction at this juncture was well-executed. Chapter 13 initiates the series' flashback arc, lasting until chapter 23. This segment is among the most poignant parts of the entire story and might be my favorite arc. Following this, the narrative resumes the primary plot until its conclusion.

In summary, Luck Stealer's story is robust and meticulously crafted. After a slow beginning, it progresses comfortably, maintaining a steady pace without becoming too sluggish or rushed. The plot, while linear, remains engaging. The latter portions of the story blend expected outcomes with surprising twists I hadn't anticipated. The ending itself was exceptional, tying everything together neatly.

    Art 7/10

The artwork in Luck Stealer is perhaps its weakest aspect. While not "poor," it also lacks breathtaking beauty. Despite this, the manga's flow ensures a smooth reading experience. Action sequences are intense when necessary. I particularly appreciated the character designs, especially those of Luck Stealer himself. Each character design is distinct without being excessive, making them easily distinguishable from one another.

    Characters 10/10

As a predominantly character-driven story, the characters are crucial to its progression, despite their relatively small number. The author excels at developing each character, granting even secondary ones moments in the spotlight to reveal their motivations and backstories. Luck Stealer receives the most attention, being the main character, and quickly became someone I supported and empathized with. None of the characters are flawless; their mistakes align with their personalities, beliefs, and motivations. Rarely does any action feel out of character.

    Enjoyment 10/10

I devoured the entire series in just a few hours spread over three or four days. I was astonished and impressed by the diversity of the "accidents" orchestrated by Luck Stealer, with the outcomes feeling authentic.

    Overall 9/10

A strong, emotionally compelling story filled with action and suspense. While I wouldn't classify it as a "masterpiece," it doesn't possess any flaws warranting a lower rating. The reason for my 9 is due to minor pacing issues, the art, and the somewhat linear storyline. I'd recommend this to anyone and would definitely watch an anime adaptation if it were produced.

The story is well written. It's BL yes, but the story focused on the competition instead of the romance. There're still a few heart warming scene though. As for r18 scenes, they're only at the extras (in this site only LXF   Cat story, but I found the full one at danmeiextra blog). Very heartwarming. I like this author's style!
