I can hardly believe I created an account just to pen down my thoughts on this book... With only four reviews, it's surprising how different our experiences might be. Here are a few points that need clarification:

1: Initially, it's mentioned that they knew each other for merely half a month – that's around two weeks or 14 days tops! It's hard to comprehend how they could have become so intimate so quickly.

2: While the romance isn't rushed, calling it slow-paced might be a stretch. The plot develops rather swiftly, as they meet at a bar, and the male lead (ML) forms a strong connection due to MC's lively personality, leading to what appears to be love at first sight.

3: The breakup was not solely because of the pregnancy issue. The misunderstanding was on ML's part, but it wasn't the reason. ML's acting skills, which seemed genuine, inadvertently contributed to the confusion when he pretended to be someone else (using a pseudonym, false identity, and occupation).

4: MC didn't厌恶ML because of the pregnancy incident; he was initially disgusted and called ML a hypocrite. The true source of their conflict emerged when MC believed ML was aware of his agent's actions, like forcing unwanted attention or wrecking his car despite rejections.

In summary, the story revolves around a genius character, MC, who, being sheltered by his elders and lacking friends, opens up to ML, who becomes his first significant emotional connection. Despite insecurities and fear of vulnerability, the narrative is sweet and lighthearted.

This serves as an instance where a book receives a low rating without any apparent justification. Regardless, I'm including this review to give you a sneak peek at the plot. To counterbalance the low score, I'll assign it 5 stars. Here's a summary:

The main characters (MC) and male lead (ML) are already in a relationship from the beginning. The MC initially dislikes Shen Bailou, ML's supposed brother, due to Shen's past actions that caused ML (real name Li Quyim) distress, as mentioned in chapters one or two. To avoid complications, ML pretends to be someone else – effectively, Li Quyin – a kind and amiable persona, while Shen Bailou is known for his negative traits. Shen Bailou is actually a stage name, while Li Quyin represents his true identity. Since MC hates Shen Bailou, ML adopts the Li Quyin persona when around MC. The confusion arises because Li Quyin's real personality leans closer to Shen Bailou than the public image suggests.

The core premise of the story revolves around this misunderstanding, which holds significant promise for an intriguing narrative. I genuinely hope the book realizes its potential and achieves success.

I understand why the story lacks depth. The pacing is sluggish; their relationship development feels like a series of pre-relationship encounters, as if they're still getting to know each other. There's minimal familiarity – no house visits, no insight into each other's jobs. After reading five chapters, it's clear that they barely know anything about one another. Their shy interactions are reminiscent of elementary school kids, with timid blushes and no进展 beyond holding hands. Unfortunately, despite a promising concept, the execution is weak, which is why I'm giving it only two stars for potential.
