I'm Rachel, a lone wolf without a scent, agility and speed. I had none as a wolf, and as a daughter of a rich alpha I was a disgrace to the pack and my family's legacy. On my 18th birthday it was the blood moon, one that appears once in every century. I was supposed to wolf out and become one with my inner wolf but fate took a drastic turn on me. I was humiliated by peers and most especially my father, as I was the only one left out who couldn't transform, much less communicate with my wolf. I was seen as a worthless outcast and a disgrace to my kind. Till I met Zech who made my life a living hell. A Man who did not believe in love. However fate took us by surprise, it turns out that I'm his fated mate. what would happen when he finds out that I'm not actually a human, but a wolf and an outcast?.

The idea behind Chameleon Jail is intriguing and delivers some solid twists. However, this strength is also the manga's downfall, as the narrative heavily depends on those climactic moments without significantly developing the characters. The plot isn't poor, but it's evident that it wouldn't surpass the Working Madonna arc. There isn't enough allure in a character like Jail to maintain interest, and he lacks the qualities that someone like Golgo or Conan might possess.

While the artwork is satisfactory and effectively conveys the story, it doesn't exhibit much of Takehiko Inoue's later charm. Aside from the initial basketball elements and Kaede Purple, which seem to reflect Inoue's personal style, even fans of Inoue might find little here beyond insight into his artistic evolution and career trajectory.
