This is one of those famous cases where the person possesses a genuinely great idea but executes it poorly. About 90% of the story consists of the protagonist's training, which is incredibly tedious. The protagonist is portrayed as an emotionless rock, and towards the end, undergoes an abrupt personality shift to become a clichéd villain "devoid of empathy." I'm a fan of stories featuring villains; my favorite novel is Reverend Insanity, but Shang is perhaps the most uninteresting character I've ever come across. The world depicted in the story feels entirely artificial and lifeless, almost as if it were merely a theatrical backdrop. The characters don't hold much significance to the narrative and seem to exist solely to create a false illusion of a living, breathing world. Occasionally, a character plays a crucial role in advancing the plot, but once that purpose is served, the author either forgets about them or kills them abruptly. To be honest, some parts of the story piqued my interest, such as the action-packed fights and the intricate power system. However, I prefer stories that evoke strong emotions, that quicken my heartbeat, and keep me on edge, eagerly anticipating what will unfold in the next chapter—a roller coaster of emotions, so to speak.Yet, this story felt more like a monotonous car trip on a bumpy road. I had hoped for something captivating, but it turned out to be disappointingly mediocre.
author could i ask you a question?? since this is a cultivation novel, will the MC's adoptive family have a chance to reincarnate in the future events and could reunite with him??
Writing quality is poor, there are a lot of gramatical errors which make it so the reader has to read things multiple times to know what is going on, the overal story idea and story progression is not bad though. If the author could fix their writing of the english language then it would get a much higher rating.
i will only say that the start of the novel may be week, and many don't like it the way it is goin, but did you guys read the MTL, much further chapters and not the 40 chapters they give us? you don't even know what wait for us later on, an amazing and really great story and novel, 1 of the best taming novel out there, :)
The system is not OP, and MC shown a lot of wit in every plot progression. Plot armour is not even easily earned, he got it through a rather interesting plan.Lastly, the novel comedic is fueled by characters with brain unlike the other novel. This is certainly underrated.
I liked it at first until the mc got a massive nerf for being OP despite the fact that there is mind magic and even an average level user can read minds and control people (the mc has no defense even with the system). Then the mc has his system stolen, not by a fellow reincarnator but by an ex slave who was cursed to be stuck weak. The mc was taking the brute force path with some magic assistance in a world with mind attacks which he has no defense, power sealing curses which he has no defense, and apparently even power stealing which he has no effective defense. But yeah he’s OP and needs to be nerfed repeatably
This was a great novel. It took me 3 days to read to chapter 419 and I regret not reading the comments beforehand. Unfortunately the author created a masterpiece and might have been isekaied before they could finish it.
