Webnovel doesn't pay the translators, and this is the result! It's the same issue with 'Tales of Herding Gods', 'Forty Millennia of Cultivation', 'Kingdom's Bloodline', and now this novel. All the top-tier novels for which Webnovel obtains translation rights end up being dropped midway and are never completed.
I actually quite enjoy this novel. From the characters, their various interactions, the world building, even the sometimes questionable and overly mysterious plot. Author also does well in regard to not neglecting the harem members despite their continued growth in number, they each have a unique charm that sets them apart from one another. My main gripe with this novel is in how the author refuses to advance the MC’s Order. Anyone familiar with this genre have all read novels where the MC would be stagnant at a single level for dozens if not 100-200 chapters, but at least the reasons given were understandable and weren’t worth harping over. Here, that isn’t remotely close to being the problem as the MC advances by means of XP. The issue here is that it’s been accumulating for hundreds of chapters and the MC advances at a snails pace or not at all even if the situation calls for it. He can be facing death and rather than use the XP he has to perhaps make a last ditch effort, on several occasions he has just accepted the fact that he may just die. Isn’t that absolutely ridiculous? At this point, it’s clear that the author is just using this as a plot device to introduce more challenges to the MC and increase tension, but it’s done poorly and feels forced every single time. The initial excuse was that the MC wanted to refine his powers before advancing, then after a time it changed to him not arousing suspicion from others if he were to advance too fast. Previously, that made sense, but as of now when he should(author somehow always manages to introduce someone who can threaten his life every few dozen chapters) have no equal outside of the Main Continent, those reasons no longer matter. As of late, I had hope that he’d finally start utilizing his XP and advancing because apparently he can easily reach Peak 6th Order and it was stated that he’d start being less cautious, but not even a dozen chapters later and he almost dies once again. The author may as well be treating his readers as a joke at this point with such a glaring flaw in the story that has not been addressed after so long of many people pointing it out. Still a good read, but prepare yourself to be frustrated to no end when this type of situation continues to occur.
Feel's like slice of life, is slice of life... has cultivation, is a traversing world rebirth in another person story... But so lax, you can cruise down the street like it's a low rider on a clear stretch of beach front road on a sunny day. It's like IRAAS... but, it's not over the top, or excessive, but rather contains a 'type' of MC known as 'My-Pace'. and it's Relaxing, but fun all in one. Heck, quite a bit of these story reminds me of Zhang Ye Scolding his peers, but, it's more to the point that it isn't as exaggerated or over the top to an unrealistic sense. There are however, still has people trying to kill him for a few things... but that's a cultivation story for you, people tend to kill in these, so it's normal. The MC, he~he~ "Teacher Zhang" tends to go with his own flow, ignoring others almost, unless they casually anger him, in which case he doesn't really care, but he'll solve it like a casual flick of the wrist can solve it all... [A Badass? He knows! He Doesn't however, truly know how much of a Badass he is].]Right, so my one issue? The Translation is good, however, I am picking up, Although Minor, some editor issues. Very small amounts, but it is bugging me to no end. I believe there are at most 1-3 screw ups nearly every 15-20 chapters, so it's negligible in the amount, but it's still noticeable on my account. I'm gonna be a dick, even though I'm saying this... no. I won't point them out. cause I'd have to re-read. Spelling errors? none... rather, it's just some word order issues, and a case of mixing up a few words (it>Is and that was..>was that...) these types of errors are the kind I came acrossAlso... because I don't know the update speed as of yet, I haven't accepted the star rank I gave for it. If it's every 12 hours I'd actually give 5 thus ****** the official total become 4.6. But if a bit worse, I'd leave it at the [4] stars I have given, thus reducing it to 4.4.Why am I so harsh on the upload speed you ask? because I really enjoy this story, and I need more... especially with "I Shall Seal the Heavens" has concluded translation on WW, I have one less novel, and I just started reading this yesterday... to have caught up... I feel... lonely? empty? depressed?? I don't know how I feel, but it's surely along the lines of desolate, however... what I do know is that I need more of this and I want to keep reading the novel known as"The casual life of a MC who is more badass then he should be, and is essentially a librarian that accumulates and compress' to best path in his head, becoming more op."
Disclaimer- review made at chapter 200Pretty good so far. Doesn't excel at anything in particular, but very solid in every aspect.writing quality: 4*Good. I mean, there's not much more to say. No glaring issues, decent VSPaG. Not mind-blowing enough for 5 stars, but more than enough for a Webnovel.Story development: 4*Excellent so far. Relatively slow paced, but always interesting and has an overarching plot that is starting to come into play now.Character design: 4*This is a weird one. Sometimes the characters are weird and behave slightly awkwardly compared to previously, while other times I (mentally) squeal in delight due to a surprising but great decision to add a new dimension to a character or give them a closure that they need in a story like this. Overall though, the reason the book scores well despite its inconsistencies is the linking of characters we met previously with new plot points, which works superbly. The obvious example is the MC discovering his new body's past, but other examples include the village leader and the dungeon, as well as one of the MC's quests with the first person he meets after his "reincarnation".updating stability: 5*Honestly just great. I give big props to anyone that can consistently release a chapter a day every day of the week, and doubling that just impresses me further.World background: 4*This is 4* due to the story still being in its nascent stages. What we have seen so far is pretty standard, but interesting nonetheless. We have the growing village, the nearby biomes and other villages leading to a few larger towns, and then a capital city further away with currently unknown expanses on the way. Politically, we know of the crown and the larger families plus a small insight into some of their allies and enemies. At the moment, the monsters are quite underdeveloped background-wise, to the point some readers questioned the morality of killing them, but I at least trust the author has a plan in this aspect.Overall, great read, and I recommend it so far if this genre is your sort of thing. I will try to answer any questions people may have if I see them, and sorry if my review seems too surface-level; in actuality I'm mainly doing this to get to 10 reviews for level for of the comment badge.
This is a typical trash system novel. Basically everything is just plain absurd. He gets $50M for driving one person to their destination, and basically every reward is just too stupid. For anyone writing this type of story I personally think that the stupidest reward a 'system' can give is ownership of a company.
Totally worth the read, but it's stolen from another site. This is just not right. Translator even called them out, and it's still here. They better not make any money from this.
it's fanpic...medivial world with swords and magic.connected with all film/ series world.i don't know why this world medivial after contact with futerstic worlds.and biggest problem with this novel is MC's commonsense is vastly different from us...I quit
