This story scratched an Itch I did not know I had. Not only does it give you a looting system for bodies instead of random stuff just popping out of thin air, but it also gives you relatable skills. Nurses heal. Thugs steal. And zombie eat. I look forward to seeing more.
Easily the best original novel on the website right now. Yes, I've read the top one's, and the only one that comes close is the Oracle Paths. I won't even try and list the reasons. If you keep trying different novels over and over and face palming, or young kids being sexualized - or characters lacking backbone, or mindless murderers(btw reverend insanity is not the same hehe) etc etc. This is the same high stakes novel with a more reasonable touch instead of whatever other description you want to give to those others. I want to give it a 4.9 because nothing is perfect, but I can't so a 5 will do. To put things into perspective - it's slow(as LOTM was at least in the beginning - also author realized story was a bit on the slow side in recent chapters and already started to adapt) but it flows so well. One of the few novels I look forward to reading. Hopefully the writing quality remains the same.
While the translation team itself is doing great, the story itself has issues. Seems very jerky, no smooth transition from chapter to chapter there is always some sort of short time skip so that the author doesn't have to explain something. While the character was raised on a dangerous planet, he had a father figure for a time and spent time with others in VR but he acts crazed and dangerous when he meets people in real life.It is cool that everyone has a mech but it is never explained why those who aren't in the military nees them. Finally no actual story line the character jumps from plot to plot without completing anything
My slash was so fast he didn't even know what had happened. In fact, by the time I was done, it was as if he was never there at all. I slashed at him so many times that he was minced into pieces small enough to be scattered by the wind.
