I love this side of Abbey's personality. She is strong, brave and has a big heart.

I can't believe no one else has written a review for this.  

Basically, the manga is a visual adaptation of the novel, so if you've read the novel, you'll already be familiar with the story.  

The art isn't particularly outstanding; it's the standard kind you'd expect, which is likely why I decided to lower my score. The characters, Momo and Daniel, aren't exactly three-dimensional—they come across as rather cold, even indifferent, and somewhat ordinary. That said, since the focus of this manga series is more on the characters they encounter rather than the shinigami herself, this aspect is relatively easy to overlook.  

The storyline is exceptionally well-crafted, with the tales and messages Momo seeks to convey being deeply poignant and touching. However, since these elements are also present in the novel, I’d say the manga is primarily aimed at people who might not have the patience to read the ongoing novels or those who can't read Japanese.  

The core appeal of *Shinigami No Ballad* lies in its story, though the mangaka does a decent job of capturing the atmosphere and setting.  

If you enjoy heartfelt and psychologically engaging mangas, this one is definitely worth your time—a must-read that will leave you in tears after each sub-story concludes.
