Lin Feng, once a prodigy at the Sacred Lotus Sect, is now a broken disciple—labeled "The Fallen Star" after his dantian was shattered beyond repair, leaving him unable to cultivate spiritual energy. For seven years, he has endured humiliation, performing menial tasks and enduring bitter treatments, his body and spirit wearied by failed attempts to heal. On the eve of the Lotus Ascension Ceremony, where disciples are sorted into new ranks and assigned masters, Lin Feng is abandoned by his last mentor, Master Zhu, who urges him to leave the sect and live a mortal life.
Desperate and ready to end his suffering, Lin Feng climbs Cloudrest Peak, hoping to escape the world that has never seen his worth. But as he stands at the cliff’s edge, contemplating the end, a strange celestial event changes everything. A meteorite strikes the peak, leaving behind a black stone etched with mysterious characters. Drawn to it, Lin Feng touches the stone, unleashing a violent surge of energy that courses through his shattered meridians, unlocking something dark and ancient within him.
When he awakens, he discovers a new power coursing through him—something unlike anything the sect teaches. The Shadow Meridian, a force older and more forbidden than the sect’s spiritual energy, now pulses in his veins. It is cold, hungry, and linked to a deeper darkness, yet it offers the potential for unimaginable power. Lin Feng is forever changed, no longer a broken disciple but a vessel of something far more dangerous.
As the sect begins the Ascension Ceremony, Lin Feng—once destined for obscurity—decides to make his presence known. But with the shadow of this new power inside him, he is no longer the same. The natural world seems to sense the change in him, and something watches from the shadows, drawn to his newfound energy. The journey ahead is uncertain, fraught with peril, and filled with unanswered questions about the price of power.
Lin Feng is determined to uncover the truth of the Shadow Meridian—whether it is a blessing or a curse—and to seek revenge on those who once discarded him. As he descends into the depths of the sect, what will become of the boy who once failed to hold light, now seeking strength in the darkness?

Its alright, not my cup of tea though. Characters do not feel real and they are often idiotic. Somethings are illogical.0 0 Reply

Okay...here's my fresh out of the keyboard review.BORING. CLICHED. FILLERS.The story offers nothing new. It follows the same trend as other female MC novels of similar type.Right from the mysterious male lead to MC's cheat service, there's nothing fresh or interesting The author has copied points from other famous female novels. The General household, the overly loving grandpa, the amputated uncle, the lists simply goes on and on.Even here the arcs are not well executed. They feel disjointed and rushed. The flow that needs to be there, is lacking. Overall it looks more like reading a series of short stories.Female MC's character...difficult to say. Author has tried to make her a badass swindler MC with the generic doctor history. He failed. She looks more like an arrogant antagonist out of a Xianxia novel. Her swindling is forced and clearly unbelievable. Either she's so charming that the swindled person can't realise or the swindled person is so dumb that he doesn't realises You again have the set of characters required in a female MC novel from a general household. The PM house, the fiancee prince , the king etc.Their character build is extremely plain with nodepth.Anyway I can't find any redeeming factor about this novel apart from it being a female MC novel. The author has played safe. A disappointing read full of cliches after cliches joined with chapters full of fillers. The only fun point: the novel is fast, the translator is great.Nixes (As of chapter 60)0 0 Reply
