Fableforged

This novel can be summed up in 2 words "PLOT ARMOUR"Dumb MC with little to no character establishment Minimum WorldbuildingCase and point the first 4 returns from the system that is meant to give a random return of 2-10,000 are 10, 15, 20, 10. The odds of all 4 returns being below 100 are 100 million to 1 and the MC is saying how lucky he is. - Either the author needs to decide how his system works or the MC needs to learn how numbers workCliques all around, first pet - Dragon bloodline, first sparing partner - mysterious strong and pretty girlGoing to school attends one class, and then goes off into the forest for a few days without any real reason  

Overall I had i hopes for this novel however the reality of it is that this novel is ruined by the incompetent translator or proofreader. My eyes bleed over the bad gender translations and some idiotic paragraphs which I put down as a cash grab with word count. One particular phrase in the MCs second reincarnation was his reference to his mother as a cheap woman. The negativity attached to such a phrase seriously wore on me a lot.The obvious east vs west bashing is strong in this book and this is seriously a shame as it could have been so much better.Anyways the fact the novel was on a free read allowed me to read this and even getting up to 100 odd chapters, i really couldnt stomach it anymore.Overall, if you can look past the woeful translations (MTL at its finest) and the culture bashing then maybe you can give it a go, however my recommendation is give this a hard pass.

I only managed to reach chapter 3. Who knows what's after that.                                                                             

This novel is amazing. The author is damn witty, i know the humor will not be for everyone but for me it's a bullseye. i hope this won't count as a spoiler but the whole story is written as a monologue (granted there are some bits which aren't) and the self depricating humor of the protagonist is spot on.

I am not dropping this novel, most likely I'll return around April or May, after finishing my original. Can't really stand having this dropped. But don't except much for now. I might just re-do this completely in another novel with a few chapter copy-pasted.
