Stationed on the front line of the battlefield, S-class Young Marshal & greedy for money and afraid of death, Aunt Salted Fish.

The character development, particularly of the female lead (FL), was exceptional. Initially, she appeared aloof and self-centered, but as the story progressed, she underwent a fantastic transformation. Her preference for prioritizing her own well-being resonated with me. Initially, I didn't particularly like the male lead (ML), but he improved throughout, and I've come to appreciate him. The unexpected twist at the end was a pleasant surprise, although I had a hunch about his true identity.
Although it was a relatively short novel with over 60 chapters, the world-building and supporting characters felt vivid and alive. It was an enjoyable read, and I believe it deserves a higher rating than its current average of 4.2 stars.
I must admit, I'm slightly disappointed that the MTL version lacks the final four extra chapters where I hoped to see the characters' relationship evolve, especially regarding their potential offspring. If anyone has access to those chapters, please share the link – I'd be grateful!
Overall, this book was a delightful surprise, and I wish there were more content available.
The storyline was engaging overall. The female lead (FL) wasn't initially overpowered, as she often struggled with insecurity and low self-esteem. The male lead (ML), typical of many Chinese web novels, started out as an overpowered character but eventually became devoted to the FL, almost like a loyal pet.
There wasn't much drama, internal conflicts, or confrontations. It was a genuinely relaxing and enjoyable read.
