Disease System: Infecting everything

From their first steps into space humanity never thought it was alone, but there was nothing to prove it, so they grew complacent.
When the time finally came around to be proactive humanity had already failed.
Despite having fully colonized Mercury, Venus, and even Mars, yet there was nothing to stop the Acno.
But then the awakening happened, and the war entered a stalemate.

Zen had everything he could've ever wanted, but in the end he lost it.
His last hope is his awakening, but even that could go against him.
If his awakening is a flop he could lose every last scrap he has left.
He will be sent to the factories to work as fuel, or he could just be turned inside out and left to dry.
If he awakens well he could gain everything he lost, and more.
He might even be able to end the war.
Or will he?
