{WATTYS 2023 WINNER} • Book 1 of the Daegelus series • While hunting for his missing friend, Elijah stumbles upon a fiery journalist, who so happens to be looking for the same people as him: the doctors who experimented on him when he was a child. But when the two are forced to go on the run together, Elijah's healing wounds are opened, and he realises that Lyca Corp. took more than his childhood. ⊳⊱ ♕ ⊰⊲ The moment Elijah escaped from the lab where he unwillingly spent the past thirteen years of his life, he planned to live up to his promise: he'd find Haru, the only thing that kept him sane growing up. But with no idea where Lyca Corp. transferred him, Elijah hunts down the former doctors who made his life hell in search of answers. After chasing his next lead, however, Elijah accidentally rescues Zoe, a journalist locked in his target's trunk. He has no choice but to bring her and her roommate, Jake, along with him as he flees the city to avoid capture. But as he continues his search, Elijah struggles with the scars Lyca Corp. burned into him. He has no idea who or what he is; he doesn't understand the power raging inside his bodyーthe power Lyca Corp. desperately tried to pry from him. Why does he have an insatiable bloodlust? What does the whispering voice inside his head want? And why does he feel as though a huge part of him has been torn away? ❅ LGBTQ couples ❅ Grump x Sunshine ❅ Dystopian Urban Fantasy ❅ Word Count: 137,000 ─────────────────────────────────── ✵ Numenverse year: 1335 **April 2024 Editor's Pick **#3 in Werewolf 5/4/2024 **#1 in GayRomance 5/4/2024 2023 © Tate Csernis | | Series is exclusive to Wattpad

Story is good and all, but I really start to hate the Mc…. Currently chapter 10 or so, but if I were the system I would have already killed the Mc and searched for another host.

It starts a bit slow but once you are inmersed in the plot, the intrigue doesnt let go. I would recommend it to young readers who are looking for adventure and mystery involving a bit of history.

An explicitly detailed narrative on how schizophrenia works for us to understand deeper people who display signs of mental disorder. A way to convey a message that people with this kind of illness has a struggle beyond what normal people have, and should be understood in a way that must include medical attention, love and prayers rather than contempt, disgust and condemnation.

early review, ch. 47critique first: --infrequently, you may find a typo or slight grammar mistakes. part in parcel with enjoying webnovels--sometimes the mc feels like she speaks more eloquently than the plot should allow, but not a major plot hole why it's good:--mc goes through some very major trauma starting at 10 years of age. none of it is s--ual, yet it's still possibly a trigger warning for parents or folks with rough childhoods. if you can get past some of the rough bits, you start to really get a sense of the psychological depth of the characters early on in the story. their healing and progress makes sense and feels real. overall, I it is a novel that I think shows a lot of potential to help someone who might be struggling. --the main characters struggle is very unique, but is also entirely believable. not corners cut, no dice rolls (probably). everyone is clearly planned and well thought out. --fast paced. there seems to be a system involved, but so far it feels more believable than some far-fetched soul-ai. hope this helps gather some support. :) the world seems a better place for the story so far
