I did my best to look myself up and try to find out what I looked like, but as you can imagine, that didn't go so well. I did however find out I was definitly a woman and was wearing clothing made of interlinked leaves and branches. Like they were grown around me... I frowned at that thought. That frown only deepened when I realised I couldn't even answer the simple question of who I was.
Groaning, Jade put her head down on the book, closing her eyes and letting her mind wander. The founders of Gun City had invited her and her father over for dinner. Jade had done something they couldn't, and they wished to thank her properly. Derik assured her that nothing bad would happen the last time they were together, A.K.A. last night. Begrudgingly, her father agreed. She couldn't just brush off the founders of the city they were living in.
I am enjoying this book greatly. The MC is a normal person with normal knowledge and skills for our time period who uses that knowledge to the best of their ability to adapt to the brutal bloody environment of ancient Greece. I look forward to what the author brings as the story develops.
