BOUND BY MOONLIGHT: A Tale of Love and Loyalty

Mayu boasts a dedicated fanclub, and honestly, who wouldn't? When you can draw bishies with the world's deadliest eyes and an insatiable sexual appetite in such a stylish manner, it's no wonder. So, despite the watery thin plot of this story—which, let's face it, resembles a bit of a porno—there will be plenty of fans drawn to the artwork.

Kumiko is naive, rich, and impeccably bred as a teacher-in-training. She's trying to convince her father that she has what it takes to become a full-time teacher, so he doesn't marry her off to the highest bidder. Enter Ryu, her last hope for private tuition before she's forced to give up. Ryu's libido is so out of control that he demands sympathy sex from Kumiko because she interrupted him and another girl just before he climaxed! Eek! However, they share some humorous exchanges right before he makes his move, eventually training her to want him as well. Other funny scenes include those at school when he's going through a particularly dry period, leaving a dense trail of deprived pheromones wherever he walks. ("Don't go near him, or you'll needlessly start to desire!") There's also humor when he takes Kumiko to a love hotel for the first time.

If you enjoy smut, as many of us do, then yes, this might be worth your while. But if you're looking for romantic shoujo alone, this doesn't quite measure up, as there's little character development before he seduces her.

It's terrible. Absolutely terrible. To give you an idea of just how absurdly bad this is, I’ll share my ratings: 1 for everything except art (which gets a 5).  

First off, the plot reads as if it were written by a second-grader who grew up watching Disney movies and then someone showed them a porn video, telling them that sex feels great. An innocent virgin tutor gets seduced by her arrogant student, who could have sex with any girl he desires. All of this happens in one chapter—yes, one. They’ve only met twice, yet by the end of the first chapter, the guy is completely head over heels for her simply because she refused him when he asked her to have sex. Meanwhile, the tutor, being both innocent and naive, becomes a victim of his sexual harassment, and somehow the author decides she will fall in love with him because of it. Talk about twisted logic.  

As for the characters, you probably already have a sense of their quality from what I've mentioned. But to drive home just how poorly developed they are, let me add that in Chapter 2, after they get together, the guy remains relentlessly sex-obsessed. When the girl makes time for him between classes despite being busy, he forces her into having sex with him.  

Do I really need to elaborate further? I hope my message is crystal clear: this is absolutely not worth your time.

Why is she speaking as if he’s a grown man who even after much intervention won’t stop drinking.From as far as I’ve seen he just wants everyone to be treated kindly even if it’s his best friend  being “rude.”Which we know is not the case but still.I am more offended from the fact I used to be like this little boy. I took things I seen/heard at face value I didn’t look much into it or worry about the details.When I was 14, yes 14! I was in class and this person told me “I like your shoes.” And I said thank you, it was only until my friend who heard the conversation and told me I was actually being made fun of did I know I was being made fun of.I used to be nice, I never thought that people would say or do things to be rude towards me for no reason since I didn’t know them... (School had just started that day, so I truly didn’t expect anyone to come at me)It’s not like I haven’t been bullied before but if I was it was extremely obvious, never something so “sly” before.Now compare me to this boy who has probably as of now never seen scheming in his entire life? I at least had been bullied before but I still fell for it, that’s my stupidity.But I can assure you after living in this household for ten years, he has not been schemed against yet.You can tell from his care towards mc when they were younger and how he wanted to be fair to everyone he’s just nice and naive.At least I got help, with my naïveté.He was just scolded and given cold eyes. If I were him, I’d feel wrong bcs I know what I seen.They did not take the chance to explain how someone could scheme in such a way or try to help him out, he just got scolded and told he was wrong and what makes it even worse is MC’s ignorant ass thoughts.It’s the fact she said these two things.1.
